I'd say Galway will win this. The substandard all ireland final of last year was well and truly exposed by the abject lying down of Tipp today in PuC. One things for sure, with Galway in Leinster now the era of handy All-Irelands for the Cats has come to an end.

It could be a tough match against Offaly but its one Galway should be winning without too much trouble but then again we thought that against Wexford. Galway always play well against Kilkenny and I'd expect them to be able to up their game against KK provided they beat Dublin which mightn't be easy.

It should be a tight match and the best Leinster final since 04(provided Galway and Kilkenny win their semi-finals), there might be only 5 points between the teams in the finish.

Firstly, how do you define last year's AI final as "substandard"? Just because Tipp were terrible yesterday doesn't mean they didn't play well in the All-Ireland final of last year (they played extremely well and it was a great game - far from "substandard" in all fairness).

Galway weren't even that good against Wexford - play the first 45 mins against KK as they did against Wexford and they'd be ripped to shreds.

The fact that neither Galway or Kilkenny are actually in the Leinster final yet just adds to the bewildering arrogance of this thread.

I know it hurts Sami but lets do our best to keep a wee bit of perspective here. To begin with, Tipp probably won one of the weakest Munster Championships of all time last year, bearing in mind Cork had been on strike for the previous two years or so,and Davy Fitz was(and is) in charge of the Blaa's, and Limerick in the SF were at war with themselves, , the All-Ireland final of last year is well considered by hurling folk as probably the worst Championship game KK played in the last decade or so, and Tipp, playing at their very best, still couldn't beat them.

I'd say we'd give Kilkenny a good run for their money in a Leinster final and could see us winning it by 2 maybe 3 points, not that it would be easy. However the Cats don't really start playing full throttle until the business end of the year and that's where I'd rather be beating them.

Offaly have to be beaten first though.

Offaly are poor and should have been beaten by Antrim - Galway will have no bother. Hard to know what Cody is thinking but if Galway have as many wides as they had in the league final and v Wexford they will be trounced. If they are on target they will just be well beaten ...

Moss where is the Galway match going to played, people are saying Portlaoise but it still says Croke Park on the GAA website?

I've checked into this Clash and can tell you 100% the semi's are on in Croker. Dunno why the confusion is coming to be honest but there seems to be similar confusion down south over where the Munster Final will be played. Typical GAA
