France v Ireland
Well the 6 Nations kicks off for Ireland in earnest this week with an ominous trip to Paris. A big improvement needed from last week but I have no doubt we will get it with Kidney in charge. Kearney got a kickup the backside last Saturday and it'll do him no harm, Heaslip playing great stuff and Cullen is no weakness. I expect a lot more of a running game this week so look forward to O'Driscoll, O'Gara, Trimble and Ferris seeing a lot more ball. If Ferris was fit he'd be a good addition here too.
To whet your appetite!!

What a guy. I reckon if he was born in the Kingdom he'd have been on the subs.

They probably have a better chance to beat France in Paris now than they ever had. Its all about belief, sure its just another game.

The weather there is unusually cold - think its -2 today with snow around. Hopefully thats more in our favour than theirs!

This is definitely a game to test the extent of the 'greatness' of this team. What time is it on at? Don't tell me it's gonna clash with Cavan beating Antrim?

Yeah.
Its a bit like the one v England where he threw into the lineout and peeled around and crashed over! Oh why am I writing about it - here, have a look!
The only sad note is that it deprived England of the Grand Slam in 2001!

Thats awful news England deprived of a grandslam. Did you see the video where he pushes over the cameraman.

Re: France v Ireland
yaw - why did he do that????
ps Sadly Scotland beat England 19-13 the year (2000) before to deprive England of a Grand Slam!
pps the year before that (1999) Scott Gibbs scored a last gasp try to give Wales a 32-31 win over England at Wembley and sadly deny them the Grand Slam!
Enjoy this .... er, I mean share the agony here .....

Re: France v Ireland
would be brilliant if we could win this one. I think started O'Gara over Sexton is definitely the best option. The lads need to put in the performance of a lifetime though to get a result, can't wait

I saw images of it on line before alright Clash. It seems to me that the Havelock End is going to be tiny.

Looks about 10 rows deep. I don't see how locals could object if it they were ableto make it the same height as before.

I know anyway that tickets for soccer matches won't be going on general sale anymore. Wonder did anybody on here get those vantage club tickets?
