I genuinely believe Tipp are in with a chance here, they're not going to be allowed to play as they did against Limerick but if they can take a physical game to Kilkenny, keep the defence strong and knock the ball through to the forwards, who on-form are top quality, then they are in with a shout. Every player on the Tipp team will play their heart out on sunday and you shouldn't write them off just yet.

It may take twenty minutes or so for the Kilkenny backs to get to grips with the movement of the Tipp forwards but I think once they do, Kilkenny will start to assert.

When on form, the Tipp forwards are indeed very good but O'Brien has been hot and cold, Eoin Kelly hasn't fully recovered from his injury and Callinan, well I'd have expected more from him.

Kilkenny will be hoping to have Tipp out of sight by half-time and I'd say they will.

No doubting that this Tipp team are a very good side, but just look who they're up against. Perhaps the greatest team ever, certainly one of the best, and Tipp will need each and every man to play to their best and beyond, and hope Kilkenny have a real off-day. If Kilkenny play like they can, or near it, well it will be too much for Tipp I reckon. I just think the elusive title of being 4-in-a-row champs will prove sufficient motivation for Kilkenny(as if they need it), and they'll win it by a bit, always a few points ahead but making sure in the last 10 minutes.

I think thats the key, Tipp have to hit their peak and Kilkenny have to play badly, the chances of both happening on the same day are minimal in my opinion. I wouldn't say Tipp playing a physical game will hurt the Cats over the full length of the game either, they're well able to look after themselves despite the heavenly hurling. At best I'll call it a game until the 55 minute mark then the paw hits the gas and the Cats take the four in a row.

your probably right Mossy - though one of the Tipp lads should get it, it is rare for the MoTM to be selected from the losing team. Corbett Kelly O Mahony or even young Maher at fullback were the pick of the players on display today.
