Meaning ............ you did bloody well for a grumpy old fogey. You must have at least a score of years on Mrs B (show her that! ). I am confident the offspring are all healthy and handsome. Thank goodness for the stronger Y chromosome ....

There is a lot of uncertainty about this post...Firstly Tessio is unknown to me...The Mickey Rooney one is only 90% and while Henry Kissinger may qualify, photographic evidence would be required given the vagueness/uncertaintity surrounding the other candidates....
Boxtyeater has set the standard for this thread. Posts should include dates, times, locations, apparel and other relevant information..ie: demeanour, with a bird (photo would be a big plus) or not...All info to count..
Sorry about that Seb, a noble effort, but......

A dreadful effort here...2/10...must try harder..
Of the list provided by Omar the following are automatically disqualified under the "famous" rule..
Hobbs (Bluffer/Spoofer/Gobsh1te)...
Hanafin,Varadker,Burton(Politicians, yes, but not famous. Chancers in the main)..
Pope ( A has been player turned spoofer that can't hould his drink)..
Fronc, Byrne, Seoige, Keane, Fanning, Byrne and Creedon are all disqualified under the famous rule....Famous for what, fook all in reality...
McDowell, is however famous for winning a Major in the leisure industry that is golf, but the sighting lacks substance..ie: location, wearing etc.,

Ok I agree the list requires more perspective
I agree the list is scant a best
But my selection list at the time of writing was limited to the preceeding 14 hours.
As regards McDowell I previously played 18 holes with him on a course outside of Ireland that has held the Ryder cup but clearly not in the previous 14 hours. He uses a Casino Chip from Vegas as a ball marker.

In a sort of benign mood here, fuelled by an afternoon of porter (funeral duties augmented by "nips" from the press) I may allow your sighting of McDowell if you could furnish more info relative to the past 24hrs....
The marker one is good, I'll give you that, but you need to put more meat on the bones here....

I will start a thread about famous people who have met me.
It will save me about 12 hours posting, especially if politicians are counted as being famous.

What a pathetic waste of a thread.

I am on first name terms with a lot of people who would consider themselves celebrities ....... D4 types etc. I don't. We live in quare times. The people out tonight serving soup to unfortunates, or manning phone lines for help organisations or putting in hours at the local GAA club or giving their time voluntarily across a host of community situtations ........ they are the real celebrities ....

Jayo your are spot on. A person of the year recipient last night Rio Hogarth. I meet her most weekends. Not alone one of the greatest Dubs but Irish person. Has fostered 140 children so far in her lifetime. She is a former truck driver and a class entertainer also. Is now in her seventies but is still looking after children of parents she fostered. As we say goodness oozies out of her but she thinks it is just part of life. I am sure that others out there know more people who are similar. I would like to hear from ye to give credit to real heroes.

Afraid not men. See Boxty offered me a considerable offer to join the Leitrim User Group.
I think he knew there wouldn't be too many more joining from within the county itself. They'd be lucky to have the wheel yet in Leitrim never mind the tinternet.
