Clean Dublin Male Seeks Holiday Home ...
I am considering a week’s holiday somewhere in our fair isle in the coming few weeks. I know most of the country posters here have mansions and second homes and we are in a recession, but tourism is down - so I am willing to give you €50 for a week’s rent and guarantee the abode will be in better shape than I got it when I leave.
There are certain places I prefer – and some I will not go to at all. Please let me know what you have available and what kind of standard facilities there are – running water and electricity must be standard. Extra consideration will be given to en-suite bathrooms, Sky & Setanta and an in-house Swedish masseur.
Some information on the locale would be helpful too – I don’t want to be stuck in a bog or some horrendous holiday home concrete jungle. A good pub with beer garden would be welcome and obviously reverence among the locals for Dublin people is a pre-requisite!

Boxtyeater to the rescue on this one Jayo. Not far from my humble pre-fab lies a facility with all, yes all, your requirements to hand - and free to most of it's visitors.
Thrown in are forest walks and adjacent thereto some jet-ski activities to boot.
No need for cooking - 3 square a day catered for.......where is this place I hear you cry..
Loughan House on the Cavan/Leitrim border. Just give Dermot Ahern a bell and the job is OXO.....

You should get yourself down here then to Drumcoura City, a cowboy style resort of log cabins, rodeo riding, bbq's, bar and restaurant and a taste of rural living.
I have made great progress with the turf, all footed and will need a helping hand in a couple of weeks should you feel the need to engage in some manual exertion.
My first wife guarantees a "full bog dinner" complete with bottled tae.

Sounds good - haven't done the turf (stacking mostly) since the Uncle's patch in the Sally Gap in the 70s when we used to wave at Ameerican tourists and they'd throw money out the windows at us. Not much, mind!

No a mate of mine had a terrible experience there recently. Was at a masked event and spent an hour with this one. When they took off the masks turned out it was his missus!!!!
