Leeds vs Millwall/Play-Offs
Seeing as there seems to be a large quantity of us Leeds fans on GAA Tipster i wanted to start a forum about the Millwall game and the playoffs.
How does everyone think were gonna get on in the 2nd leg?
we were useless in the first leg but a 1-0 defecit is easily made up in Elland Road and away goals dont count so i think its in our favour

Re: Leeds vs Millwall/Play-Offs
Beckford was off his game. Had one very good chance early on and blew it. However, he's a top class player and a great asset to Leeds so he should show his shtuff for Leeds next week.
I can see Leeds win by 2-0 in the second leg. Millwall beefit greatly from playing at home in front of their own crowd, but I'd say they won't play as well in Elland Road. They've had a lot of play-off heartbreak in the past and I think it's about to continue for Millwall.

Did anybody see the Reading Burnley match. Bikey I think sealed their fate giving away the penalty. Reading will find it tough but they might just be able to do it. I think it still doesn't matter who goes through to the final because Sheff Utd will beat them.

Sure people only support Leeds because of the titles in the 70's, John Giles and David O'Leary's team and their brief holiday in Europe that they realised they couldn't afford.

They were sledgers then and their sledgers now. A truly disgusting excuse for a football club.

fair feckin play to ya jayo!! clash and mossbags, one of ye said that we only support leeds because of how they did in the 1970s, if our support was based only on that, why would we still be supporting them now? when theyre in league 1? with millwall a goal up? after all their brilliant players are gone? couldnt we have easily switched to ManU, like so many people do themselves becuase of mau's success?
Anyway, i ain't gonna tempt fate by saying leeds will win, but i'd expect them to play better than the last day anyway. Ankergren is a solid keeper, i have respect for that fella. howson is a great talent, brilliant last year especially.
COME ON LEEDS!!!!!!! (AND MAYO!!!!!!! )

Re: Leeds vs Millwall/Play-Offs
i live an hour from Leeds, so know a fair few hard core Leeds fans. Never liked the club though - they're fans are always appearing and dissappearing around play-off time.
For my sins, i play for a sunday afternoon soccer team over here, and i remember last year we were at the end-of-season club presentation and Leeds were on the big screen in the club house beforehand losing to Doncaster in the Play-off final.
Our coach a passionate Leeds fan, had to get up and make a speech on our season 5 minutes after the final whistle. He was nearly in tears.

Re: Leeds vs Millwall/Play-Offs
Make sure one of those people is Ken bates as he is ensuring that there is little sympathy for the club.
They declared themselves bankrupt, and offered to pay creditors, including St John's ambulance, one penny in the pound. They would pay the players however.
They asked the players to vote on this!!! Honest.
To his credit Healy voted against, saying it was a scandel.
Ken then sold the bankrupt club on the cheap to......Ken it now appears.
Either throw Ken out of football, or Leeds.
I know many other clubs are as bent, but Ken flaunts it.

Yes he's a funny piece of work. Chelsea did well to get shot of him! First Risdale - now him! No wonder we are in the 3rd Division!! And I was really looking forward to pointing out to Man U fans that Leeds were in a Wembley Final in May!
