These AllStars a bit harder to judge - here's my effort:

James Skehill

Johnny Coen - Paul Murphy - Fergal Moore

Tommy Walsh - Brian Hogan - David Collins

Andy Smith - Michael Fennelly

TJ Reid - Patrick Maher - Henry Sheflin

Damian Hayes - Joe Canning - Richie Hogan

2012 GAA / GPA Hurling All-Stars

Goalkeeper: Anthony Nash (Cork)

Full-backs: Paul Murphy (Kilkenny), JJ Delaney (Kilkenny), Fergal Moore (Galway)

Half-backs: Brendan Bugler (Clare), Brian Hogan (Kilkenny), David Collins (Galway)

Midfielders: Iarla Tannion (Galway), Kevin Moran (Waterford)

Half-forwards: TJ Reid (Kilkenny), Henry Shefflin (Kilkenny), Damien Hayes (Galway)

Full-forwards: John Mullane (Waterford), Joe Canning (Galway), David Burke (Galway)

I just lost a long winded pale post on this matter. I'd have had Tommy ahead of Bugler (Thank God The Puke is gone), Kieran Joyce ahead of the adequate David Collins and Patrick Horgan ahead of David Burke who is an out and out wing-forward.

Well done Henry Shefflin at 33, no mean feat.....Hurling AllStars 2012 Food-s83

Tommy was in Limerick yesterday shintying for Ireland. The TG4 commentator asked him was he disappointed with not getting the A/S...

Tommy replied by saying "As you go up the steps you have to know in your heart you deserve it. There's no way I deserved one this year and I was delighted from my heart for Brendan"

Maybe next year Tommy.....Hurling AllStars 2012 Smile128

Very magnanimous - fair play!

I was actually driving through Kilkenny last week (120km on the m'way) when I saw Tommy out on a training run. He passed me. I was telling a Kilkenny man about this and he said 'Why was he going so slow?'

'Well' sez I 'In all fairness he was carrying Henry on this back!'

could nash be the first man to win his first allstar and get dropped the next season?

very interesting winter in the rebel county ahead, the lad had a good year but was it enough to displace donal og?

i felt personally that skehill would have got the no1 spot just alone for the save in the drawn final.
