Courage of his convictions it would seem. Will Brendan Smith follow suit I wonder?

Billy Kelleher the first to put his brown nose up for the co-pilot seat.
The prudent thing in my view to ensure one is at the forefront of a compromised and reunited team might be to stay in the wings for the first few rounds of this one.

Declan Ganley back on the pitch talking about the Titanic - irony. No side flying in Nigel Farrage - that (flying) could be dangerous - to bat for them. Nothing like a member of the UKIP telling us all what way to vote on our own constitution. And some give him air time!
Siding with the ULA and the Shinners here. Anyone who can run a country on fresh air has go to be worth a punt. Like the look of the Murphy and Boyd Barrett lads. Love to be a socialist like them but alas never got to the private school.

This referendum should be deferred until the Greek issue is resolved one way or the other. Spain are on the brink now and who knows how the land lies in France or Germany. The Huns are owed €600bn by the ECB.......
If it goes ahead, Enda has probably been promised "favbourable refeering decisions" at the soccerball thing.

i read develaras constitution my take on it was that they formed a provisonal goverment in 1922 under the oireachtas,so basically ireland is still under british rule as you couldnt have a soverign state in with 26 counties

Re: Treaty
As in any form of election/referendum, Boxtyeater places a lot of emphasis on the strength of canvasser/their belief in his or her cause and their ability to navigate the tricky waters of a serious doorstep argument.
The 3 main parties have, thus far avoided chez Boxty. If they had deemed my vote important to them, I would have expected a visit.
The parties of Government (locally) would always avoid calling here knowing the likely scenario. The Fianna Fail foot-soldiers are probably assuming I'll hold the line and vote Yes.
Sinn Féin, in the form of Cllr. Martin Kenny and another local, braved it out last yesterday evening as I was fishing by the lake at dusk.
I gathered up the 4 perch I'd caught and doddled along home with them. We proffered tea (declined) so Nanny poured 4 half-ones.
We talked about the forthcoming championship match, the prospects for hay-making and the on-going tribulations afflicting the McLoughlin family. All nice and serene.
2 No's from Boxty Towers.
Grilled perch for breakfast...hmmm

Re: Treaty
The Yea's have won it by about 60/40. Embarrassing margin for the parties of the right (count Labour in there now)..
Backed by Governmental funding, trades unions, the IFA, the GAA and a campaign loaded with apocalyptic threats, they staggered home.
Mark this day down and mark my words. The people are slowly but surely tiring of these frauds and rightly so.
We're an educated race, we're told. The people are beginning to see the light, as the likes of McWilliams, Ganley and Shane Ross, to name a few, are being listened to a bit more. "Nod and wink" days are over.
We've witnessed "The Velvet Revolution" and "The Arab Spring" amongst others. Perhaps "The Rustic Rebellion" will make the history books in years to come. Well done to the relations of staunch forumites OMAR and RMD as Donegal firmly said NO.....
