Bit of a joke with Gloucestershire getting to a semi final thanks to two walkovers

Re: UK GAA Thread
Sure Warwickshire got to the final a few years back without playing a match, they got hammered! I thought that if you gave a walkover that you were automatically kicked out of the championship and didn't get a second chance, happened to Lancashire & Scotland the year Warks got to the final.

Re: UK GAA Thread
The whole thing needs revamping Puke, sure i didn't know about it until i queried when it was on! They should have it over the one weekend, Sigerson style and possibily invite Europe into it, 2 groups of 4. Group games played on the Saturday, Semi finals and finals on the Sunday. no need to drag the whole thing out over 7 weeks or so!

Re: UK GAA Thread
A few of us were asked to go down for the trials/training with them there at the end of April, one lad was doing college exams while 2 of us are hurling on top of the football so couldn't be arsed along with the fact that the 2 of us felt we wouldn't be in the best 20 in Warwichshire if push came to shove. Spoke with a lad from St Mary's when we played them the following week and he told me he was only one of five people to show up for it.
Raging I didn't go now as I might have pulled some free gear out of it and would definitely have made the panel due to the apathy

I presume there would have to be something to entice lads to show up and train for it

The London Competitions Control Committee is set to hit the Sean McDermotts and St Barnabas clubs with the same punishment.
The clubs were involved in a mass brawl when they clashed in a match last month and the CCC have proposed that both outfits receive the same punishment.
However, one of the clubs is believed to have appealed the decision and the matter is set to be resolved later this week when the CCC meet again.

2 league points docked off each team, not much of a punishment really! What was the proposed fine Puke?

Keep an eye on him, he put a few McDermott lads in their place in the aftermath of the row v Barnabas. Think he makes the occasional post on the Clare Forum as well

Great display from Warwickshire at the Feile, getting to the Division 4 final where they lost by a point to Ennistymon. Beat the Cavan and Leitrim champions on the way

The Puke wrote:Do you know much about Yorkshire Emeralds hurling club?
They are a team based in Leeds and, as the only hurling club in Yorkshire, they play in the Warks League and Championship. Many of their players also play football for the local football clubs as well. They can be contacted via: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] if you're interested.
