Re: Walsh reign over
It will be interesting to see who gets it. They might struggle to get a decent manager. Cork are in transition, were well beaten by a bad Galway team. Tough times for Cork hurling.

As poor a Cork side as I can remember ... and still people mention them in the same breath as Galway, Waterford, Dublin, etc when they are not ....

They won't pay O Grady's wages and JBM is out of touch. The right thing to do would be to go after Liam Sheedy but such a move would be unthinkable in Cork hurling circles. Donal Og is the only man for the job here

I don't know about sheedy being the man for the job, while he would bring a professionalism and a winning mentality to Cork the impact that Eamonn O'Shea had on that tipp team cannot be overstated and judging by the comments made by Tipp playes about O'Shea since his departure he was the brains of the operation. Sheedy was the front man while O'Shea was the coach and tactician. No real coincidence that the management team stood aside (Cian O'Neill aside) when O'Shea couldn't commit to another year due to work commitments.
Donal Og by all accounts is an outstanding & proactive coach in his own right and we definately manage at intercounty level before the end of this decade, although probably not with Cork
