Re: World Cup Draw
Tough group indeed and Ze Germans are likely to go through unbeaten.. Outside shot of second place.. Numpty on RTE talking about how it's a good to be in a group with the Germans from a revenue POV.. Getting an easy group and actually being in Brazil would hardly be a lot better would it!?

Richard Sadlier! Remember the day when himself and Stephen McPhail were the next big things in Irish football.

That's the chap. Presumably brought on to provide some knowledgeable football analysis of the teams Ireland are to face and instead starts talking absolute rubbish about FAI Revenue from TV rights. Embarrassing. Also which ever of them briefly mentioned the German team only seemed to be able to name Ozil out of the German side...

Ronnie Whelan. I guess he'd be more familiar with Brehme, Matthaus, Klinnsman and Voller. And the likes.
To be honest, the Germans will be hard to beat. They are solid defensively - best centre-half in the world in that young Dortmund player - and creative in midfield. And goal-getters up front.
Sweden and Austria will be eyeing up the second spot too. It really is a tough group for Ireland. And even if we do get ourselves into that second place, we'd still have to win a play-off with one of the other second-placers. And the last time that happened.......

Re: World Cup Draw
Not a hope of beating Germany to 1st place IMO, try to slog out 2 draws with them at the very best and concentrate on getting enough points to beat Sweden to second..

Name the 5 Hipster. Maximum 2 will be retired. Klose and Freidrich. So Name the other 3 Hipster.
Ctrl + V or right click and then click paste - although I don't know why you need to paste.

Lahm is only 27 and is the German Captain. He'll still be playing by the time of the 2018 World Cup.

Why would Podolski and Gomez retire? The pair of them are only 26.
Freidrich might retire (might have already?) but Hummels is 22, Badstubber is 22, Mertesecker is 26 and Lahm is 27.

Possibly - Possibly not.
Although you're post was suggesting that they would walk away from the international scene. Only two who might do that are Freidrich and Klose.
Anyway, I'm not up to date with German football. But I suspect the German team we play will include some of those players. Though the shape of the team might be different.

Re: World Cup Draw
Also caught some of the Milk Cup final from NI last night. Seems to be some team called Aspire which apparently are all Africans but based in Qatar. I think they are going to develop these lads - do the 5 year citizen thing and then have them for WC2022. Anyway they tanked Man U young lads and had a lot of hugely gifted lads - incl one who scored a hat trick - for the second game running. Loyal will know the name.
