Dublin v Limerick
I expect my Leinster brethren to win here and frankly it will be disappointing if they don't. Limericks near miss against Waterford doesn't read quite so well now and for all O Grady's steadying of the ship, victories over hurling non entity's like Wexford and Antrim doesn't really add up to very much. Dublin are a well drilled side and have been operating at a completely different level to Limerick. Although they fell meekly enough to Kilkenny their overall performance level this year has exemplified the mindset of a winning team and I believe they can and will pick it up again against Limerick.
Oisin Gough in particular will want to put the Leinster Final behind him but he's been outstanding all year for Dublin and I expect he'll keep tabs on Downes for this. Rushe has developed into the consumate hurler and it looks like he will lead Dublin from Center back in Thurles. Because of Rushes deployment out the field Dublins achilles heel this season has been their lack of goalscoring threat but a fit again David Treacy would be a major positive in this regard.
Winning League titles is all well and good but a teams real standing is based on Championship and I expect Dublin to assert with some authority the progress they have made this season and make it to an All Ireland semi Final against Tipp.

I agree - this is a must win game for Dublin. Defeat will take the gloss off the League victory. But I am confident we will win. Moss' form lines are correct. KK and Tipp way way ahead of rest. Dublin have had horrible injuries this C'ship season (formidable losses at 3 and 6) yet nobody seems to mention this. I still think we have enough talent to win the game. Limerick will not be easy though and will be very well supported. So hopefully there will be a fair bit of blue in Thurles too!

That is little short of a disaster for Dublin. He more than anyone has been key to their success this year.

Bad news for conal today i believe its a broken ankle, hopefully he makes a speedy and full recovery..I have a feeling this might be the rallying call for the Dubs on sunday to go on and to it for keaney...
So close now to being in 3 All-Ireland semi final's in HURLING we can nearly touch it....If we can get over the line it will be some achievement for all involved ...
Really Really great day's for Dublin Gaa at the moment.....

Could well be the end of his intercounty career, although you would hope not as he has been excellent this year

Re: Dublin v Limerick
Great win for the Dubs and on the road too!! Some great scores throughout and the first half was particularly good. Sometimes Dublin seem to have no man in the last third though and the ball keeps coming back - against Tipp that will be fatal. Good goals too - the second being as good as you'll see. Limerick had some shocking wides when they got within a whisker and ultimately shot themselves in the foot. Thought Ryan was excellent as were Peter Kelly (super defender) and Rushe - and of course O'Dwyer. Nervy win but great to be back in a semi!
Also thought Declan Callan was superb for Limerick - was in the right place all day and picked up some great scores - and he's just done his Leaving Cert! A great talent.

Thought Rushe was immense today, caught some amount of ball in the air. Definately in line to get an All Star.

Great win for the Dubs today not so long ago we were losing to the like's of Laois/Westmeath so great to reach this level
Poor performance today, but the goals sealed it for us not sure if it was nerves or not but we have won 1 and lost 1 not playing well
Stand out players was Rush/Kelly/O'Dywer and Corcoran...As much as we got out of rush H/F i thought he should have being moved back to 6..
I think we got the monkey of the back today winning in Thurles,we go into the S/F with no chance hopefully this will spur the players on to give it a rattle
We are now in Bonus territory. Its been a fabulous year so far long may it continue

didnt see the game as i was in the bog with the outlaws at the turf (Boxty would be proud of me) but seen some of the highlights, the second goal was top drawer, the pass was inch perfect and the finish was exquisite - a good win for the Dubs who are definitely heading the right direction under Daly.

Re: Dublin v Limerick
Good win for the Dubs and I would be confident enough that they will hold their own somewhat against the Dubs but Conal Keaney was seriously missed yesterday
Limerick have serious issues at full and centre back and they were badly exposed yesterday, although Hickey looked far better at 6 as opposed to 3

Re: Dublin v Limerick
Good to see the football people in Dublin getting behind the hurlers, saw Pillar Caffrey at the match yesterday. The support for the Dublin hurlers appears to be growing remember being at the u21 final in Croke Park in 07 there were hardly any Dublin supporters at it.
