Galway v Cork
Cronin out,Galway will win at a canter. Heading down myself, I cannot remember ever being in The Gaelic grounds in a long long time. Fairly excited truth be told

Re: Galway v Cork
Fairly sure Galway two league finals in the Gaelic Grounds in recent times, 2004 and 2008
You would have to fancy Galway today given that Cork are without Cronin and are relying on the likes of Curran and Jerry O'Connor who look finished and out of form...The likes of Egan and Cian McCarthy have found the step up to championship hurling fairly tough as well

Probably the end of the line for the likes of Niall McCarthy, Curran, Tom Kenny and the Twins
Dennis Walsh will get the road as well...Good confidence boost for Galway but they still have only beaten two very disorganised teams.....

Great win for Galway, 6 points down after 10 mins to lead by 5 at the break was a great turnaround. Pride restored in the Galway jersey.

Fair play to Galway - but Cork are a poor team and nowhere near the likes of KK/Tipp. Antrim also got a right hiding leaving the Dubs facing Limerick in the QF. Couldn't ask for more but Limerick are a fast improving side.
Only 3 counties left with the chance of winning Sam and Liam this year. Waterford and Limerick are two - let ye guess the other!

Galway can't face Dublin again, so it will be Limerick versus Dublin and Galway will play the losers of the Munster final. Quarter finals take place on the 24th July.

Re: Galway v Cork
No ones getting carried away in Galway. On all known evidence we are still streets behind Kilkenny and Tipp not that I'd fear coming up against either of those sides but the performance against Cork yesterday was a big day for Galway hurling, coming as it did only a month after the dismal side that seemed happy enough to just take it from Dublin. Great to see the crowd get behind them so well yesterday and the happy heads leaving the grounds, a complete contrast to Tullamore. After Waterfords implosion today Galway will be hot favourites to make a semi Final, most likely against Kilkenny. It could well end there but the Joie de vivre has returned to Galway hurling and we'll certainly enjoy it while it lasts
