Death Notice
Tipster, GAA (Cyberspace and Cavan), 8 December 2010, after a long illness bravely borne.
At his residence, deeply regretted by a small circle of loyal friends and a large number of non-participating admirers. Removal today (Wednesday) to Church of the Holy Website. Funeral to Cyber Graveyard after 11.00am mass. No flowers please - all donations to charity.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hainm dílis.

Re: Death Notice
As a mark of respect, I'd suggest a minute's silence, but guessing that silence may have been what killed him.

Dublin poster who doesn't realise that all country folk will be in bed early before we jump into our Volkswagon Boras and go to the Big Schmoke for the annual shopping trip on 8th December, otherwise known as "Boggers' Day Out"

Re: Death Notice
And an appaling wake to boot.. Mind you the silence afforded to the occasion was deafening as is usual here. Fr Mossbags spoke lovingly of a character that had given him so much hope. Lifted him o ut of his loneliness and shyness. He spoke of how healthy the corpse had been in his early years and how he was surrounded by many chatty friends. But then the friends found drink and women and drugs and the divil and stopped calling round and conversing and sharing their experiences and stories. He recalled one false day in the early diagnosis when 62 people called round - or another day when Swinny brought down the wrath of a well known GAA school in Down. But still the drifted.
Though a few stayed by the bedside. Some probably in the hope of being included in the will! Other true friends exhorted the late GT to recover - sought all sorts of remedies and cures and even talked of a trip to Lourdes. Alas it was to no avail.
Funeral after 11.00am mass tomorrow.
