Absolutely right B. Mr Rabbitte and the Screamer playing silly games - the people are not stupid - most of them. They will need to be a bit more genuous rather than disingenuous to get their crack. Don't like the look of them at all ... huff, puff and soundbites methinks ...
No guarantee and we were all bollixed but hindsight is 20/20 vision ...

Which bond holders mullins? Subordinate yes - and they will take a hair cut. There is a perception out there (lazy media again) that all bond holders are individual trillionaires with yachts and supermodels in every port.
Bond holders could be pensions trusts, credit unions - anything. They lend a few bob with the promise of a certain rate of return over a set period - they are not criminals.
Think of two guys in the local. Both always cadging a few bob. Mr A is sound enough and as soon as Friday comes will seek you out to give you your score. Mr B will avoid you like the plague and you will not make the same mistake twice. Default on your bonds and you are Mr B ..... So where do you get the money to pay pensions, welfare, dole etc???

Jc i've already put up who the bond holders are on this site. But you must have missed it..As far as i know the Credit union were exposed for 100 million, if you can tell me which other Irish instituions were exposed i would like to hear..As for the pension trust they are no different you gamble you lose....I agree that all irish deposit holders should have being covered after that in layman's terms f--k them..

F--k them is all very well mullins but when you need to borrow to exist - like we do - its not advisable to tell people who invested in your State to fook off! If you invested a grand in the GPO at a set rate for 5 years (cast iron investment) and went into O'Connell St one sunny morning and were told your money was gone so fook off, how would you feel. It's the same thing.
Argentine defaulted back in 2001/02 and were frozen out of the markets until this year - and when they came back in it was at 12% Bond markets have long memories.

Mulllin's grasp of economics/fiscal rectitude cruelly exposed here....The "copy and paste" believer must consider his options at this juncture....

The muppets in goverment made bank death=soverign death remember that..I suppose the Dublin 4 brigade and Cronies V Goverment there was always going to be 1 winner..

Consider all the wonderful infrastructural improvements Pee sourced in his great years as a Minister and EU Commissioner on behalf of Mayo and indeed the West in general...There's talks of a monument to him being erected in Ballaghadereen (the gateway to Mayo)....Once in a lifetime bloke was Pee.....

Hipster seems a bit like the Labour Party, his agenda is that Fianna Fails agenda is incorrect.

Flynn was found by the Supreme Court to be a liar and a perjurer-this is the only country in the world where she would not have to stand trial for her lies, same as o dea ,in England Jefferey Archer got 5 years for perjury in a similar caes. How people can still support FF is shocking but i suppose its their right..they have done much harm to our people and our country.cutting the minimum wage. Refusing the right of the people to vote.Destroying our economy and the IMF having to come in to help restore our finances and our FF zombie goverment.FF are stripping Castlebar Regional Hospital day by day of its faciities. Beds closed by the dozen, staff laid off by the hundreds, cancer unit gone, still waiting for the privately funded MRI scanner to be installed after months. All voted for in the dail with beverleys full support hope that makes you happy Boxty..Another political dynesty bites the dust and thank Fook. As long as people want to vote for traitors i suppose they get what they deserved
