All Ireland Minor Final
By god I have a feeling in my water a shock is on the way....We certainly won't be blown away the bookies think....Bring it on.....Just like the 1997 minor final when the Cats includinh Shefflin only had to show up
Unfortunately Cathal O'Connell will play no part for Clare due to an appendix operation last week

At least we never resorted to bringing in ringers from across the county border in order to win an under 14 title

Read the full report that you posted elsewhere. These lads asked "could they play in the Feile comp", were registered for it "but not with Croke Park" or words to that effect..They don't have a hurling club of their own so B'more, being the neighbourly types that they are took them in and paid the price....
No big deal really, except that CP, in their wisdom banned the club from Feile for 5 years...
Nothing new in this approach, for the lifetime of the Freestate, we've had our arxes kicked by all classes of hoors in Dublin, Ministers, Employers, Tax grabbers, ticket touts, thieving publicans, you name them. If not being treated like 3rd. world people, the most common option was "Ignore them hoors altogether"
You get used to it after a lifetime.....PS..We're waiting for the traffic lights now for 30 years at the Secondary school..."Awaiting funding allocation" FFS..

You'll find most of them hoors are not actually from Dublin Mr B .... see developers, politicians, publicans, tax dodgers, farmers etc ....

I didn't realise Shefflin played county minor and certainly not for Galway.

As a sub goalie in '96 and corner forward in '97.

That Clare Number 4 is playing out of his skin in the fullback line. They should be up by more than 4 and they'll need to keep up that pressure to win. Hope they do, they're playing some classy hurling.

Unlucky Pukey, the 2 goals undone ye'....Young Morey is a class act and Haulie Vaughan's injury didn't help...
An honourable effort nonetheless....

What made it all the more heartening was the fact that it was along the lines of how they have been hurling all year, pure commitment and honesty....Wouldn't be too downhearted over the defeat, if anything it will keep them grounded and the feeling at full time should help drive them on greater things at 21's and senior level, hopefully....Three of our better performers from yesterday are underage next year along with another 5 or 6 on the panel so we should hopefully put up a decent account of ourselves as munster champions next year

Re: All Ireland Minor Final
I watched the game withthe immortal Ricardo (sic) McGreevy who played against Clare in the quarter at Clones back in 1997.
Who decided to have hurling at ....Clones?
The best story about the immortal Ricardo is two years ago when he was due to be mattied the bride was visiting the priest who asked "how long has this Ricardo been in the country?"
