i thought it was very sporting of one of the Tipp players (not sure who it was) to shake Shefflins hand as he went off - there were so many good things about the game the spirit in which it was played the respect shown by both teams not only to each other but also to the ref - days like that dont come around too often and it certainly makes you proud to be a member of the GAA family

Yeah poor Henry was distraught but fair play to the Tipp guy - it was genuine.

Reminds me of Cormac Murphy(Meath) running across the field to shake Mauriice Fitz's hand when he(Maurice) came on as sub in 2001. Met Cormac a few years later and he explained that he did not like the treatment Maurice got in Thurles v Dubs when he arrived on the field. Other ones that come to mind, Wexford players shouldering Ringy after a final in the 50's + John Mullane staying on the field for Liam presentation in 2008.Well done to all players last Sunday.

Also the late great Dermot Earley who was carried shoulder high off the pitch by his Mayo opponents after his last game for Roscommon.

Great viewing, remember being at the match and the disastrous start Galway had. Everybody was saying here we go again another 2004.
