Dublin v Tipperary
Dublin meet Tipp for the first time in the championship since the 1920 All-Ireland final,Which Tipp won 2 years later by 4 points......Dublin are in the qualifiers for first time since 2004-But it looks like we wont get any road trip this year....
Before 2010 this fixture would not come into the minds of any Dublin fans ...I suppose we have to get on with it-Im not sure what giller is trying to do with this squad if the rumours coming out are true, there is going to be wholesale changes for this game....It will be very intersting to see if he goes through with it but Nothing would surprise me at this stage. The level of ''rubbish exhibited, so far, by this management is beyond belief. The team should be annonced after training tomorrow hopefully he doesn't do what the media are saying he will.....
I always thought that Gilroy's use of the defensive football we played for a lot of the league was to give us another option in the championship rather than to be our tactics for the summer....What happens next who knows watch this space..

I hope to be there next Saturday for both hurling and football. Those who died in Croke Park in 1920 should be remembered also. Lets not forget.Good avatar mullins.

Re: Dublin v Tipperary
I think this will be a very good game, game of round 2. Tipperary are a decent enough team and this will show if Dublin have the man power to get through the qualifiers. I can see Dublin stuttering through this game.

if Dublin dont win this with a bit to spare i would be more than surprised - no disrespect to Tipp but if Dublin are serious about making amends for the Meath game then they should be putting teams like Tipp away with relative ease. No doubt Tipp will put it up to Dublin for 40 minutes or so but a Dublin win is almost guaranteed.
I see Whelan has had a dig at Gilroy about events since the Meath game - not exactly ideal preparation for anyone from the Capital. Would Whelan not have been better advised to keep his gob shut until after the game, i k now he was only responding to a question but he more than most should know how mountains can be made from molehills were Dublin are concerned..............

The main concern I would have is that it isn't a case of getting the team from off it's knees, it is getting a team out face first from the mud. Still think they will do it - Just about.
Re: Dublin v Tipperary
Whilst Tipp are improving, I can't see them getting an away result against Dublin. It would be great, of course, if they did - and I would never shut up about it!

I'd imagine there may be access problems for you - purely coincidental - if this highly unlikely turn of events came to pass ......

that would be abuse of your power. It should not be condoned.

Re: Dublin v Tipperary
Giller has lost is fooking mind ,the sooner this man leaves Dublin football the better, Team to face Tipp should give sami hope is
Cluxton
Fitzsimmons O'Carroll Macmahon
Henry Brennan Nolan
McConnell Mccauley
A.Brogan Corkery Flynn
B.Brogan O'Gara KevMc
The team looks weak to me. No Fennell, Cahill and Mossy in there...No keaney,Cant see what hes trying to do at all, why is he experimenting at this stage of the year.We need to have a consistent team that gets used to playing along side each other. ..this is madness..
But these young players do deserve our support, it is not their fault they have been put into this impossible situation,...
Bocerty someone has to say something Whelan is right.....

Wont be an easy game for Dublin, Tipp are plucky and never give up as I witnessed 2 weeks ago. Would imagine Dublin will win the game but it wont be a straight forward win by any means. Dublin by 6 in the end !

Don't know much about the new lads in the back line, Ger Brennan always looks a liability though.
Fennell is a big loss but from where I was sitting, McAuley was definitely one of the better players in the second half against Meath.
The two Brogan's will be dangerous as well, but I would fear for Dublin in this game. Tipperary have been making shapes for a few years now, especially at underage level. There has been a couple of shocks in the Championship this year already, and there might be another coming.
