Dublin v Tipperary
Well after a disappointing start a nice easy home tie to get back on track! With McCrabbe gone and a Tipp side likely bursting for action following the two Kilkenny postponements I fear for us this Sunday. We badly need two points but this may be a step too far. Tipp usually take the league very seriously and will be anxious to build on last year. Their proposed team v the Cats suggests they mean business. Would love a home win but can't really see it. But as Gay Byrne always says .. we live in Howth!

I'd say Dublin's confidence was severely dented after the hammering they got off Waterford last weekend. Tipp should have enough to win by 4-5 points.
I have to say I was dissappointed with Dublin last weekend I thought they would make good strides this year but they appear to be going backwards, having said that you can't go on league performances.

Its going to be a tough one-can't see any other result than a win for tipp win -but maybe a good performance and to stay with them for aslong as possible would help to get the show on the road for this year.

Re: Dublin v Tipperary
Serious question - if Dublin hurlers are to make progress and build on last year what is the bare minimum they need to achieve???
In Tyrone we have gone from an All Ireland title to once again struggling to put a fecking team out

I'd say a quarter final at least and to beat a top 5 team. Last year was a disappointing year for Dublin they beat Wexford and Antrim. They did however lose to Kilkenny and a poor Limerick team who were nearly beaten by Laois. If they were to beat Kilkenny, Tipp, Cork, Galway or Waterford this year I'd say that would be progress.

Just don't come over - we don't want it snowed off!!!
I reckon staying in Div 1 would be a good achievement - as for Champo I think we are capable of beating anyone on a very good day except KK, Tipp and Galway (unless they have a sh1t day ) - its hard to knock what Cork are like at the moment.

I'm not defending them mullins, that's a game Tipperary should be winning with ease. Very worrying.

I have to say, it's great seeing a new, competitive team emerge who may be challenging for Liam in the coming years. The development and transformation that has gone on in Dublin hurling over the past few years, and the work that's been done is fantastic. I hope it spreads elsewhere-ya never know-Mayo might be challenging for Liam soon

Can of cidona, maybe? I'm deadly serious Sami You just never know, there's excellent work being done at underage level in Mayo, and if players like the likes of Keith Higgins keep coming up through the ranks-we'll have an All-Ireland in no time!

Where are you going with that statement Samuel? Win with ease? Typical Tipp attitude and probably why ye haven't won much.

Re: Dublin v Tipperary
I have to say I was very impressed with the Dublin performance. Some of the fielding, short passing and point scoring was as good as any of the 'stronger' counties.
I was saying to the brother there yesterday isn't it gas the amount of kids that go to the games with the hurleys - must be the only sport in the world where spectators can bring along lethal weapons. I was toddling around the ground at half time and the kids were bating the balls off the walls and lifting and balancing - some of them only knee high. Great skill on show altogether. Please god they'll stick at it ...... pardon the pun!
