The secret of All Ireland success ...
I was watching the news there and it dawned on me - the secret of All Ireland success. It was somewhat Groundhog Day-ish to watch Kilkenny and Kerry captains lift provincial titles. Ominous for those of us who still harbour dreams of glory ... I dream about winning the lotto too - similar odds to Dublin winning an All Ireland this year. I don't think its good for the games to have the same counties winning titles all the time and these two are the greatest in their codes. But thats not Jack O'Connor or Brian Cody's fault - they set the bar (in KKs case very very high indeed) and its up to the other 32 to match and better it. But there does seem to be a pattern with these great teams ... they both begin with K and end in Y!!! I have sent a letter in to City Hall asking them to rename Dublin ......... Kentucky!! It makes sense.

As much as you admire these teams (and yes they are good, and I do admire) what are the counties only one trick ponies.
Easy to succeed at one game, but shame on you for denying the progress of the game.
Rem there are 4 aspects to GAA, Hurling, Football, rounders and handball.

yep much as I admire the Cats - and I always have - that is the one bug bear. Kerry not quite as bad re hurling but could do much better. Having said that there are a lot of counties that don't put anything into hurling but it ain't doing a lot for their football in any case.
