Hurling Qualifiers
Carlow V Laois
Phase 1:
Antrim V Carlow/Laois;
Tipperary V
Wexford.
Annoying for Carlow but then the only realistic way they might win a championship match this year would be against the likes of Laois or Antrim.
Wexford away to Tipp minus Gizzy Ling, probably couldn't be worse for them. Wouldn't surprise me if they did it though.

Wexford to recall Jacob in a bid to stiffen things up. County mentor says he expects Jacob to rise to the occasion and expects him to get stuck in and give it a real lash. He added that his wrist work is top class and he won't pull out of anything.

The odds are you have never seen Carlow play and haven't a clue what were like.
We could have beaten Laois the last day, the management were very poor in the team they selected and their tactics. We played well in the first half but totally fell apart in the 2nd with the wind in our back. I guarantee you that if we drew Wexford we would give them 1 hell of a battle.

Phase II
LEINSTER SF LOSER V MUNSTER SF LOSER
LEINSTER SF LOSER V MUNSTER SF LOSER 17.07.10 (SAT)

PHASE I WINNER V PHASE II WINNER
PHASE I WINNER V PHASE II WINNER 25.07.10 (SUN)
Quarter Final
MUNSTER PROVINCIAL FINAL RUNNER UP V PHASE III WINNER

Why is there one rule in the football (if you played before) not taken into consideration in the hurling qualifiers.
1/4's looking like Waterford, Galway, Dublin and Tipp maybe throw Clare into the mix

Great stuff HG - unfortunately I didn't follow your confidence in the competition! And to think they were trying to keep Carlow out of the Leinster C'ship! Hope its only the beginning for ye!

Re: Hurling Qualifiers
Well done carlow on a thoroughly deserved victory, brilliant for hurling, would be even better for hurling if yous beat antrim, but im hoping for a home win next week, looking forward to the meeting first time since the CRC final in croke a few years back 2005 i think!
Hopefully it will be a double dunter with the football, when antrim is playing and there is plenty of the saffron army in casement can be be good craic, ive sat in the the bar over there with dubs, galway, fermanagh and many more counties supporters after games in the evening having a few pints and the craic bes 90!!
Looking forward to a good game and may the best team win!

Re: Hurling Qualifiers
Boxty the younger (Carlow resident) reports of a mighty night in Carlow. Apparently, hordes of Ghanian supporters were seen sporting the traffic light colours of red, yellow and a sprinkling of green in a symbolic gesture with the success of their Carlow based lineage....
Boxty the elder is firmly convinced that 2 sponsored "sons" of his, from the BB scheme of the 50's, distinguished themselves today against the cruel oppressor .....Meanwhile, in breaking news, Junior Boxty Boateng......signs for ..

If they had Galway in the first round they would have been destroyed.
Great chance for them now to make a mark on the championship by beating lowly Antrim thus setting them up with a meeting with a proper hurling county.

Having seen Offaly twice, they will be a match for any team in the qualifiers, reckon they could make it through to the quarter finals.

Directions to casement
Come off for kennedy way its a turn off from the motor way, the slip road takes you to a round about take the left up kennedy way to the next round about again go left and your in andersonstown or andytown, casement is on the left bout 300 yards up cant miss it.
Moss
As for the lowly antrim moss i think yous had the same score line with offaly over your first 70 minutes as we did, so lay off the lowly will ya!
Carlow Hurling guru and carlow fans
Looking forward to the game should be good, carlow never done themselves justice in the CRC final this is there opportunity to put it right, i think they can but i believe my own county will have enough in the tank to win through, but as ive said before may the best team win!
