's got Talent
I don't watch a lot of TV other than sport - which obviously precludes the Ulster Football C'ship ...
I especially hate reality TV shows and the X-Factor type thingies. However ... .. the kids love 's Got Talent so I have found meself of a Saturday evening stuck in the house with this on. I have to say when you peel away all the sh!te and palaver etc, there are some really talented people on it. As a renowned appaling 'mover' I think some of the dancers are brilliant.
One thing though - mindful of the fact that these shows are hugely popular with kids I was amazed that they showed the guy swallowing rings and keys and ultimately his pride when he was knocked out. On a serious level I switched off cos I didn't want the kids eating remote controls etc - they are bad enough. I think they should have thought this through a bit more - and will not be surprised to read of incidents where kids tried to copy this. Left a bit of a bad taste really.....

Re: 's got Talent
The mans been doing it for years round the pubs and clubs and has been on TV quite a bit too Jayo, before the whole Got Talent thing.
His act is brilliant, if you get the chance definately go and see him as some of the things he does is just amazing and what you saw on TV was tame believe me!
As for "Chopping Wood", WTF was all that about?

Re: 's got Talent
Brilliant Sami, thanks for clearing that up for me! Now can you tell me just how the feck it was deemed a talent worthy of getting to the semi finals of that show? I've been chopping wood for years round the auld fellas farm, must see if i can get on telly now!
Surely that was just as dangerous as Stevie Starr?!?!?!

Re: 's got Talent
It was deemed talent worthy because Britain's Got Talent is a show designed for and viewed by people who have nothing better to do than watch crap reality TV. They are very easily impressed and so tend to find such performances endearing and entertaining.
No doubt it is also deemed talent worthy as such tat brings viewers and with viewers the Simon Cowell machine gets more money to produce more puke music records and prolong the career of boy bands that should have disappeared years ago.

Re: 's got Talent
I'm just not sure on Amandas new hair style
Im not sure if I prefer it the way it is now
or if I prefer it the way it was last year
She used to have it in a different style last year
but this year she has changed it so that
it looks different to the way she had it before she changed it
which was this year.
Any views ?
