Would be a fan too Jim. Wuthering Heights was a classic (much better than the book ) - she is a unique artist. That song very nostalgic to a young Jayo ....

Ah me a**e Mr Pedant! Have you ever been to an Irish wedding?
Firstly the guy will take about 20 breaks. He will allow the bridesmaids up to do their Brittany Spears karaoke, someone's Da or Uncle will get on stage and do some horrendous version of an Irish ballad, followed by 74 year old spinster Auntie Molly doind a few Vera Lynn numbers before finishing with a raunchy version of Grace Jones' 'I Need A Man'.
Then the DJ will anounce a break for food - evening guests will then get a few sangwiches and a bit of cake (and bitch about not being invited to the whole thing). Half the crowd will be out in the bar watching England getting stuffed in the World Cup - on penalties. Draws a big crowd every time even though its such a regular occurrence.
On resumption the groom's mates will now be suitably tanked to forcibly take over the microphone and belt out a few Boyzone and Westlife numbers - thinking they sound the exact same as the lads but in reality sounding like a cat yowling. Then for the last hour it doesn't matter what songs the bride has picked because Dave Lee Travis above on the stage will slot into wedding auto pilot - Macarena, the Birdy Song, the Conga etc as the crowd make arches and begin the interminable task of saying goodbye to the happy couple by kincking them up the **** every time they go under.
120 songs me **** as Jim Royle (and Jim Wexford) would say!

3. The Dubliners - Dublin in the rare aul times
4. The Stone Roses - I Wanna Be Adored
5. Chicane feat. Maire Brennan of Clannad - Saltwater
6. Nirvana - Lounge Act
7. A Perfect Circle - Orestes
8. Idlewild - A distant history

For me:
1. All Along the Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix
2. The Importance of Being Idle - Oasis
3. Heyday - Mic Christopher
4. Atlantic City - Bruce Springsteen
5. Tiny Dancer - Elton John
6. The Blower's Daughter - Damien Rice
7. Nothing Else Matters - Metallica
8. Hurt - Johnny Cash
All could change with my mood, except for 6.
Book: For practicality, Bear Grylls - Living Wild: The Ultimate Guide to Scouting and Fieldcraft.
Luxury: A fridge w/power supply. Desert islands always look pretty hot.
