Point Guard
John Stockton?
Magic?
Mugsey Bogues?
Chris Paul?
Bob Cousy?
Jason Kidd?
Steve Nash?
Mark Jackson?
The choices are vast.
My favourites are Mark Jackson (shake those shoulders Mark!) and Steve Nash, however the best NBA point guard I've ever seen is John Stockton. His assist record speaks for itself however it was his leadership and toughness that made him great. He was always ready to go, and always went about his business in an understated kind of way.Hard as nails though.

Don't really have a team loyal but would keep an eye on the Indiana Pacers. They are absolutely terrible at the moment.

Talking of American sports, Canada are playing USA tonight at around 1am. The game should be one of the highlights of the games.

Mark Jackson
Not a great mix but some nice plays at 0.47 and 1.30.

Height means very little for most basketball players. It's only when skill levels are very even that height becomes the key factor. I'd take a skillful and athletic 5-8 lad over a slow and plodding 6-6 lad (not suggesting you are either of these!).

Been to see the Knicks twice since I came over here. They're phooking terrible, but far and away their best player was Nate Robinson (since traded to Boston). He's 5 foot 9 inches, and the reigning NBA Slam Dunk Champion (3 time winner).

Yeah he's a good player but this years dunk contest was absolutely horriffic. Boring as hell. Worst I've ever seen.
I've never been to the MSG. Watched a documentry today called Winning Time - Reggie Miller vs the New york Knicks. Tells the story of the Indiana Pacers and NY Knicks rivalry in the 90's. Good stuff.

Re: Point Guard
MSG is an amazing venue, but I have to say that the atmosphere at Knicks' games is just horrendous. In the two games, it only came to life in the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter.
Was at a NY Rangers game there as well and the difference was amazing. The fans were actively getting behind the team, there was banter between the home crowd and the small few who'd made the journey from Philadelphia, and it generally felt a lot like being at a football game.
At both though, the big screen constantly trying to gee up the crowd with three word chants, bright lights and loud noises gets fairly phooking irritating

I feel your pain - imagine 'Tipp, Tipp, Tipp' appearing on the big screen at Croker!

Yeah, I remember him. Wasn't a big fan but this dunk is one of the greatest ever.

All the better when you see who he dunked it on!
Those Knicks/Bulls Knicks/Rockets Knicks/Pacers games were when NBA reached its zenith!
Staying up till 4am on school nights, lepping around the place when Paddy Ewing, Starks and Charles Oakely doing their thing. They never won tho The Rockets in particular broke my heart

Yeah, I always felt a little sorry for Patrick Ewing. He was a fine player who won nothing. But then (like in the GAA) most players win nothing!

I always liked him far more than his slinky brother JR. He may not have won anything but he did at least end up with Victoria Principal ....
