Happiest Moments in 2009
Mine, in no Particular order, are:
Mayo Connaught final win
Going to Croke Park a couple of times-always a special occasion!
Grand Slam Win
Shane Lowry winning Irish Open
Getting my two hens!
Mayo Minors getting through to final-and being there to witness it
.....I'll think of more!
Lows:
My 10-year-old cat dying
Michael Jackson dying
Leeds still stuck in League 1
Mayo losing to Meath-shouldn't have happened
Mayo losing to Armagh
Recession kicks in
.....I'll think of more!

Re: Happiest Moments in 2009
We seem to be going through a period of nostalgia, and everyone seems to think yesterday was better than today. I don't think it was, and I would advise you not to wait ten years before admitting today was great. If you're hung up on nostalgia, pretend today is yesterday and just go out and have one hell of a time.

thanks for that inspirational comment Loyal. actually it reminds me of a conversation I had with someone yesterday:
"why do the radio always make programmes looking back at music rather than the music today?" she said.
"because today's music is crap" was my reply.
that is true, however I do agree that it would be much more beneficial to everyone to look forward rather than backward, we would achieve a lot more that way.
