Medical Advice
I think I've chipped my elbow after a fall from a bike. It's quite painful when I put any sort of pressure on it and I can feel something floating around under the skin.
Should I go to my GP to get a referral to the hospital or just head straight for casualty? If I get a referral if casualty free? Am I a big nancy boy who should grow a pair?

This is a bit like father ted when Dougal said he was riding on a 90 year old man's back at a funfair while whipping him.
Re: Medical Advice
I would say go to the doctor you don't want it not healing properly and then giving you a problem.

Re: Medical Advice
RMD - a referral from a GP will cost you the price of a GP visit (€50-€60 in Dublin probably €10 in Donegal) - if you go straight to A&E it will set you back €100. Its a no-brainer. If its a chipped bone at least give it to the dog!

Re: Medical Advice
I'm sure all members of GT will be relieved to know that I have been referred for an X-Ray and I should be getting an appointment in the next few days.
Thanks for all the PM's wishing me well. I was touched by them all.
