Re: Marty Morrisey interviews brian cody
Am I the only one who thinks that Cody was a bit out of order? Marty asked the question that a lot of people in the country wanted him to ask and Cody behaved like a spoilt kid. A bit of class was called for and for a man who usually has class to spare I was suprised at Cody. Marty was doing his job and thats all. Cody could easily have brushed it off with a "I have't seen the video but it looked like a penaty from where I was standing ..." and no more would have been said about it.

Re: Marty Morrisey interviews brian cody
No I have to say I am with Cody on this one. His team has just won their fourth Liam in a row and Morrissey asks about the penalty and then follows it up with what did he think of the refereeing. Stupid line of questioning to take with a manager in his first interview 10 minutes after an historic win.
I would question the interviewer's class rather than the manager's. But you see the pattern - media negativity the whole time - even in sport.
Why couldn't he have asked about some of the great scores and saves?? Not the time or the place for those kind of questions and Cody was right to point it out - his players and himself should be honoured and feted for their achievement - not be subject to inane questions about refereeing decisions.

Re: Marty Morrisey interviews brian cody
Gotta say RMD you where obviously hung over today that interview as funny as f**k, Cody wasnt out of order he just wanted to talk about the greatest hurling team of all time, not a dubious decision.
Marty Morrissey should use the motto " time and place " that wasnt the place and i think by the final whistle even Tipp people conceded defeat and acknowledged the greatest team of all time. Tipp people knew they could not say much after last years u21 munster final debacle, and fair play they said nothing.

Re: Marty Morrisey interviews brian cody
maybe rmd is the Martt Morrissey of GT
In fairness though he's half right for once, Marty had every right to ask that question, you'd have been pissed off if he didn't, was just doing his job, Cody I think took it up wrong and perhaps felt Marty was alluding to a greater antagonism towards Kilkenny, which whether rightly or wrongly, clearly exists.
Marty, being the professional he is, needed to ask, Cody, having just led a team to history, didn't need to hear it, hence 60 seconds of TV gold.
