Are Dublin the most underachieving Gaelic Football team of all time?
Two All-Irelands in the last 32 years is a shocking record. And they fought their way to one of them and the ref more or less handed them the other.
They have a population of 1.3 million or thereabouts (compare that to Meath who have a population of around 175,000 and have won four All-Irelands in the last 32 years along with numerous semi-final and final appearances).
Why are they so poor? Like the county is fanatical about the sport and yet they are just very bad.
The general consensous nationwide is that they are living in the near-neighbour's shadow for the last 30 years, do you think the Dubs will ever become:
a) kingpins of Leinster again?
b) All-Ireland winners in the next 25 years?

Its hard to say who will win an All Ireland in th next 25 years. Will Meath? Will Armagh? The biggest underachievers for me is Mayo they are always pretty much guaranteed a place in the last eight yet they cant beat the big teams. They really need to change as do Dublin.

This is the worst one ever.
I mean what is this doing in the Non-GAA section!
Of course the answer is yes!
We will have to start taking GAA seriously. So what about having Olympic medal winners, world renowned bands, world famous actors, playwrights, writers and boxers, soccer players, rugby heads (yaw) and numerous other famous people. We need Sam....

Come to think of it when you look at Meath's record it should be even better only for referees. Last year only for your man they would have beaten Wexford - who went all the way to the semi. I have no doubt if Meath found themselves in the semi last year they would have walked it. Wexford didn't have the smarts or experience for Tyrone but Meath would've walloped them and then easily accounted for a poor Kerry team in the final.
This year they were robbed against the Dubs who went on to win Leinster. Imagine the head of steam the Royals would have built in winning Leinster! They would have wiped Kerry (unlike the Dubs) in the QF, hammered Meath ..... eh no .... probably the Dubs in the semi and then whopped Cork in the final.
Yeah when you think about it you could add two more Sams to Meath's total only for bad refereeing - and to think this team should really be going for three in a row in 2010! Its shocking really....

Look at China's population and no sign of winning Sam.
Must be something else required.

There is something else. Motivation.
I mean, what else is there to do in places like Meath? So maybe it is the country lads/lasses who need to be examining their records.
