Tickets for Gaelic football final?
Im moving from the land of shinty to the land of hurling, but looking to see how I can get tickets to either the Gaelic football final on the 23rd, or to the hurling on the 30th. Couldnt see any info on GAA website, or ticketmaster.ie... cheers

Fellow forumite OMAR has produced a fine document regarding the ticket allocation. A number of points arise:
1. Overseas, have you been a registered club player? From this forum's perspective, Bald Eagle controls circa 220 of this allocation, he being Chairman of the Warks C/B for many years. Send him a PM with a promise of a "finders fee"....
2. The TV & Radio allocation is generally used by local hacks but "quelle surprise", forumite SamiPremier, through his radio activities, may be able to source out some good news for you here. (Again, while he's in the land of Shinty, this should be a breeze for him).
3. 3rd. Level. Forumite Jonsmith is in his 9th. year of higher education at 3rd. level (he's doing a masters in creel-making this year) and has more Sigerson appearances than even Ciaran McManus. A PM again (he distrusts phones they cost money)
4. Sponsors...ah yes!! Normally OMAR or Parouisa were the go-to men here, but the landscape has changed. OMAR has a direct involvement and will be calling in all favours. Parouisa has but a fleeting interest this year, the thirst having been slaked last year.
5. Minor teams. Forumite L2TR has doubtless "hoovered up" (Apt, I feel) anything not nailed down here....No chance.
6. Premium and Corporate.....Hmm. I'm returning from abroad the morning of the football to one of these...It's a NO from me.
7. The remaining forumites have no active part to play in the ticket allocation as stated in the previous post.
Alternately, should you be prepared to fork out handsomely for a ticket, well, let me see......Yes, I see a glimmer of hope....
