Re: monday morning of a championship loss
There's nothing as horrible as the day after your club gets knocked out of the championship!
Few years back a senior club i was managing were in a championship final replay (on a wednesday night for some strange reason), and lost by 2 points after conceding a very soft goal goal in injury time ('twas the 'keepers only mess up of the year!)
On the Friday i was playing in a hurling championship semi final with real hope of winning.......we got stuffed, and on the Sunday our reserve footballers lost by a point to a late free........i gave it away!!!
Now THAT Monday was really crap!!!

Re: monday morning of a championship loss
I was actually thinking about Moss and Clash this weekend. Out of both c'ships on successive days by a single point - in games where Galway were favs! Both horribly unlucky. I know the club stuff is important but when you expect your county side to be there or thereabouts and then not to get to August is gut wrenching. We lost our hurlers this weekend - they could've / should've won - and who knows what will happen next weekend! So commiserations to our Galway lads - great posters - I have great time for Galway people and Galway GAA teams in both codes.
