New book for Christmas
Hi guys,
My new book on Gaelic Football tactics over the last 12 months, Victory Loves Preparation, is out now. It's €15 and you can get it one of three ways...
1. Order it online here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
2. Come to the launch in Kilmacud Crokes on Thursday the 28th of November.
3. Drop me a PM and meet me in Dublin.
Ebook version will be available soon, I'll update when it is.
Thanks,
Emmet

Fair play Emmet but, with all this free advertising, many a man like you would be donating a signed copy to the forum (to be awarded to the winner of last summer's Tipster contest, perhaps).

Done but let's make it for something which hasn't been won yet. I'm open to suggestions.

Good man Emmet! GAAFan and RMD are the power brokers, so perhaps they can suggest an idea?emmetryan wrote:Done but let's make it for something which hasn't been won yet. I'm open to suggestions.
Alternatively, we could play cyber hide-and-seek, and whoever finds GAAFan wins the prize…
Again, a very nice gesture Emmet, and hopefully we get some good suggestions for a contest to take us through next couple of weeks.

Re: New book for Christmas
No-one's come up with an idea so I'll go for easy one.
This weekend's Ulster club football final, guess the total number of points scored (counting a goal as 3 points) in the game.
Must have prediction posted before throw-in, one guess per person, if someone's already picked the number you want tough ****, in the case of a draw I'll flip a coin.

Good luck with the book Emmet. Here I'll take a stab at 24 points for the sake of it.emmetryan wrote:No-one's come up with an idea so I'll go for easy one.

A generous offer Emmet. I'll go higher at 26 - Ulster football has entered a new, attacking age.Boxtyeater wrote:Good luck with the book Emmet. Here I'll take a stab at 24 points for the sake of it.emmetryan wrote:No-one's come up with an idea so I'll go for easy one.

1-13 = 16 plus 2-6 = 12. 16 + 12 = 28. TC's 26 was 1 closer than the 31 guessed by bocerty.

Not my fault if RTE radio in the car says 1-14 to 2-06.....That's my excuse anyhow.bocerty wrote:clearly maths isnt Boxtys strong suit.....................emmetryan wrote:1-13 = 16 plus 2-6 = 12. 16 + 12 = 28. TC's 26 was 1 closer than the 31 guessed by bocerty.

Re: New book for Christmas
Shiny new copy of 'Victory Loves Preparation' by Emmet Ryan came through the letterbox this morning!
Really looking forward to getting stuck into it over the holidays, so a huge 'thank you' to Emmet for his generosity.
