Re: Score Updates
Meath were very bad. Westmeath worse. Poor game.
Two Brayers are capable of the spectacular and thats all in Meath's armoury, no half-forward line and no full-back line, plus no players who can pass the long ball to the Brays.
EOB has his work cut out. Although, this game will serve as sort of a wake up call.

Re: Score Updates
I agree with Loyal. Tonight was absolutely dreadful. We have the Brays and I believe Joe is capable of anything on his day. David Lyons made a very good save in the second half and there isn't much between himself and Paddy. We need to sort out our FB line. Mid wasn't doing too bad with Cindy and Wardy. I like Wardy's new hair. Nothing else positive to say about the match really.

Was it a draw or did meath win?

Against Westmeath, I would of thought that they would be an easy team

Tipperary 1-09 Meath 0-10.
Meath football is going backways rapidly. I tipped Tipp in the Tipping competition.

So annoyed. Gone beyond a joke at this stage. Meath football is in some disgrace. We'ce gone backwards since Colm Coyle left.

Re: Score Updates
Meath are a sub-standard team. Hype is what drives them, not skill. They have a few mentionable players, but only about 2 or 3. This is no surprise.

I disagree with ya there. We have a fair few very talented players it's just the team's style of play that's killing them. When we have forwards like the two Brays, Joe and Cian Ward inside there's no point in short handpassing out the field. Let the ball in long and let them go in for the 50/50 ball. We will achieve something if we sort this out.

Re: Score Updates
I may have been harsh with my original statement, but they don't have many stand out players. If they did, Tipp wouldn't have won. With some young talents and some tweaking maybe they could make a drive for Leinster and win the Leinster final. However, I do think hype is a large part of their game, Dublin have a similar issue, but they have more skill than Meath, more potential.

Ya could say the same about Mayo sure. I would consider someone like Stephen Bray to be a stand out player but if it just isn't working well on the day there's nothing that can be done by anyone. A couple of stand out players won't make the whole team work well.

I would absolutely consider Bray a stand out player, C Ward as well. I have stated that Meath have a few, but not many.
You couldn't say the same thing about Mayo, because they have a better set-up, more of these 'stand-out' players. Mayo have achieved more than Meath over the past 5 even more years. And we have put up with enough heart-break down through the years so we don't get caught up in the hype as much as yesteryear.

I wouldn't say Meath are hyped up much either.
