no i mean you have to work for one of the contractors to croke park ie the catering company that does the bars and food in croker... no you dont have a seat allocated but there is never a time in croker even all-ireland final time when there is not a seat for you to sit in and for the concerts it does not matter at all anyway!!!!!

Heard of a lad who used to borrow a bundle of hurls of one of the players that was playing and then when he went into the turnstile he used to say "I'm with the team" and get in for free to club matches.

my father is on the disciplinary committie down here so he gets a card to get in free to all games in wexford bar intercounty. i would go to a lot more matchs than him so i always bring his pass and when they look at it behind the turnstile and give it back saying it isnt me i always say 'for **** sake ive brought the wrong card again thats the blasted third time ive done that in as many weeks then apologise and go to my wallet before i even have it open i hear go ahead there you clown ya start bringing the right one. definitely worked 15times this year. dont tell anyone jim

Re: U2 Concerts in Croker
I worked on many turnstiles and the amount of cops who flash their badges is unreal - usually country lads tbh. I just look at them and say 'And?' and they shrug their shoulders and give ye the 'ah come on lad' look (they probably own 6 houses) - I just say 'Sorry pal - you're not working - €10 please.' And they put it away red-faced and get the loot out. Tightest shower of ****** I ever met.

Re: U2 Concerts in Croker
I have heard of U2 but couldn't name any of their songs.
However I have seen Bono on TV.
If there is a "greatest t#at ever" contest no-one else need enter.
Only man in history to make David Trimble appear interesting.

i never thought i would see the day i'd agree with you Patrique. Think he's Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandella, Kofi Annan rolled into one. I remember the Slane concert 7 or 8 years ago, after every song he felt the need to rant and rave about the political situation in the north, about peace and how Jesus said "love thy neighbour". Lets just say a large section of the crowd were getting pretty fed up, i left with about an hour to go. U2 have some brilliant songs, thats what i went to listen to, not some tit who has more money than he could ever spend in 10 life times complaining about the poverty situation in Africa.
