Royal Ascot!
Predictions for the Seven Group Ones:
Queen Anne Stakes - Gladiatorious
Kings Stand Stakes - Scenic Blast
St. James' Palace Stakes - Delegator
Prince of Wales' Stakes - Never on Sunday
Ascot Gold Cup - Veracity
Coronation Stakes - Ghannati
Golden Jubilee Stakes - Sacred Kingdom
What a week ahead! The Hong Kong Bomb Sacred Kingdom, the Jet Plane from RSA, Yeats looks for his fourth Gold Cup, the world's highest rated racehorse Gladiatorious, arguably the best jockey in the world John Velazquez aka Johnny V and Takeover Target back again all on show in the next seven days.
This is possibly the most exciting Royal meeting ever.

Re: Royal Ascot!
My nap of the five days is Sacred Kingdom. Fastest horse on the planet, look at the speed here when he broke the track record by over a second at Singapore's premier racecourse:

Re: Royal Ascot!
Gladitorious - officially rated the best in the world - and he's 5/2!!!! Are you serious? Bet the greatest field of horses that will ever be assembled this year in Dubai at the end of March, he bet them so easily that knocking could keep up with him. And he's 5/2. The handicappers have him stones clear of everything else, the clock watchers have him down as one of the quickest of all time. And he's 5/2 because of his trainer (a trainer who has won this race seven times in the last twelve years)

Re: Royal Ascot!
I'd go with most of those Loyal, although I'd switch Ghanaati and Delegator for Elusive Wave and Mastercraftsman. And possibly Geordieland over Veracity in the Gold Cup.
Was at Golden Jubilee Stakes day last year, but wouldn't be rushing back - the place was total carnage, with hammered aussies and south africans stretched everywhere.

Re: Royal Ascot!
I wouldn't back Geordieland if my life depended on it!!!!
Tomorrow should be good. Be very disappointed if Gladitorious dosen't carry his Dubai form over here. And the Aussies will lead the way in the Kings Stand again. Scenic Blast is electric, only worry is he races well off the pace so he'll need luck. Still I think he's the fastest horse over five furlongs by some way in the field. St. James' is a bit of a guessing game for me. Not completely convinced by Mastercraftsman yet, Delegator beat him well at Newmarket too.

Re: Royal Ascot!
So much for Gladitorious.
9 runners and he couldn't even get into the top 3.
Thats Shiek Mohammud for you and his decision to boycott Coolmore stalions.

Hughesy!
I've been saying for years that Richard Hughes is the most under-rated jockey around.
He fulfilled his potential today though.

Blink and you would miss this lad.
Brilliant all right. Arnold really timed it perfectly and the horse really responded when he looked for it.
Another good one for the Ozzies.

Johnny V!
Did I not say this lad was the best jockey in the world?
Wins the last at 33/1! I am a genius.

You knew this topic existed yet you kept posting new topics that were relevant to this topic.
It is easier to mange the forums this way.
The reason they were deleted was because I told you to post in the royal ascot topic but you didnt and it is simpler to delete than to merge.
Re: Royal Ascot!
Once again, I am made out to be the guilty one.
What has a thread about Richard Hughes got to do with Scenic Blast? Two completely different topics.
