Share your game footage?
Folks, was just thinking there that it would be great to get my hands on some classic games.
So, would anyone be interested in sharing your recorded games via file sharing? We could do this on a private basis so on those people you select would have access to your files, thus eliminating any unwanted contact from downloaders and eliminatinthe risk of virus' (this would be virtually zero anyway).
So what do you think?
One consideration is the legal implications of this. I think it would be fine as we would not be circulating copyrighted information. Plus the extent of the sharing would be very minimal and restricted to users of GT.
I have a very limited amount of games that are of sufficient quality to share but here's what I have if anyone is interested.
Dublin V Tyrone (NFL Jan 2009)
Tyrone V Kerry (AI Final 2008)
Dublin V Tyrone (AI quarter final 2008)
Kerry V Offaly (1982 AI Final)
I also have
Wales V Ireland (6 Nations 2009)
As you can see the games I have are all popular ones that I was able to download. I don't have any Donegal games (well I've a couple of dodge recordings from TG4 but the quality is great) and I'm hoping to get my hands on the 92 AI final. Had a video of it but now don't have a player!
Let me know your thoughts and if people are interested I can explain how easy it is to share stuff.

Re: Share your game footage?
The full 92 final is on YouTube in about 8 or 9 different parts.
Must watch it again sometime, greatest final with no goals ever.
Donegal were a joy to behold back then.

RMD, do you have the 2005 Armagh vs Donegal - Ulster semi-final - Replay
I could make a link beside the GT News link so people can upload their video footage.

Quick....someone check Loyals bloodpressure!!!!
The '92 final was a great game, and no-one complained that the full back for Donegal didn't kick a ball during the whole game. Different kind of pundit back then too.

Nah, don't have it admin.
I'm talking about the full games here, rather than just clips. The files would be ~700-1000M

He actually did kick it though BE. A little toe poke when challenging for a ball IIRC. But don't let that spoil a good quiz question.

Looking for a place where these videos can be uploaded in full length (not broken down into 9 - 10 minute sections).
I have...
All Ireland final 2002
Ulster Final 2002, 2005, 2006.
NFL Final 2005
Armagh Vs Cavan 2008
International Rules - Cant remember what year.

Re: Share your game footage?
I've got one of those DVD's with the highlights of all Hurling and Football finals from 1998-2005. Also all highlights from football finals 95-2004. 2005 All Ireland and probably more but there is over 100 tapes and they are not labeled.

They will have to be on DVD so that you can send them to me over the internet. Im uploading the 2002 All Ireland final as we speak...the whole match will be on in the one viewing.
Re: Share your game footage?
It might also be a good idea for someone to record GAA gold on TG4 as they might not be showing it again for a long time.
