Newstalk''s Off the Ball
Anyone ever tune in to the lads on Newstalk's Off the Ball during the week? Its a really good show covering all sports and their GAA guests and analysis are top notch and well worth a listen.

Aye, tis a great show all right. Don't may much heed to the soccer show from 9-10 (I do enjoy Gilsey on a Thursday though) but I love the variety of sports they cover from 7-9. The craic is great with them too. The Dublin bias is balanced by the culchiness of Murph. Loads of people at work listen to it too.
It's crazy in one way. RTE had years and years to stick on a sports show on the radio and Newstalk come along and beat them to it with a cracking show.

I do listen to this show the odd time when I'd be washing the dishes or something. Some good banter on it alright although one of them has an annoying accent but I suppose Dubs need to work as well. Some great interviews on it too. I remember one there a while back with Anthony Daly and it was top notch stuff. They also have Eugene Magee on it sometimes and that man talks a lot of sense when it comes to football unlike many other 'anylists' who just love the sound of their own voice.

I think we should adopt this show as the official GAA Tipster top radio show ... and get them to plug the site .......

I listen in most nights and it is quite entertaining. Murphs country pages are hilarious and the variety of sports they cover is enough to keep every man, woman and beast happy.

Good idea Shinners - even though I am finding it inceasingly difficult to take you seriously when all I can see is Lionel Richie with a Rich Tea biscuit for hair ....

I nearly choked on my dinner this evening while listening in, first of all they were speculating that Alf and Mr Fisher (Home and Away stalwarts) were actually loved up in real life and then Bernard Flynn was on raving about the Dubs! All in one show like!

I think Donald Fisher is a closet Dub fan. And that Sally one - she was sat in front of me last Sunday roaring on Bernard Brogan...
