Top 5 TV adverts of all time!
ITV are doing a programme tonight of the greatest ads of all time. So it got me thinking and here's my top 5 in the last few years:
5.
4.
3.
2.
Could have chosen any of three or four here but as a whole these were surely the adverts of 2008. I'd say the only time more than 5 or 6 turned up for training was when they were filming or when they were giving out free bottles of powerade. Every other week, you'd likely find most the players in O'Dwyers across the road from the football pitch. Even looking at this video, I see one or two familiar faces of lads I thought had retired years ago.

What a stupid program...typical of ITV really.
Anyway, I would say the Guinness advert with the horses in the sea advert is the best.

I love the GAA one where your man goes out on the beach and starts writing in the sand - I love .... and his doey eyed moth is standing looking out the window at him with a simpleton smile (surely there was housework she could've been doing?) - anyhow it turns out the OU you see is not You but Louth!! Genius - and it on a Meath beach! Lucky he wasn't caught by Loyal!

the cadbury gorrilla was fantastic when it played In The Air Tonight but the switch to Total Eclipse of the Heart, although a great song, kind of took away some of it's greatness.
there was a John Smith's advert a few years back with an olympic diving competition and stereotypical fat larger lout 'John Smith' comes up with his very own...you guessed it...'BOMB'. He proceeeds to bomb of an olympic diving board, enourmous splash soaks everyone there...huge cheer and the voiceover "the crowd like it and the judges like it! 10 10 10 10 10!"
also i can't help but giggle at the ad on at the moment where the bird flies into its 'house' and instead of a cuckoo clock there is a clock with a man popping out saying 'hello..hello'.

The Magners adverts ALWAYS remind me of the championship...especially the one with the kinks - sunday afternoon song.
Anyway, the Tyrone fans wont like this, but ive done a little bit of advertising on the video
