Time for a new quiz
This place has gone soft lately, nothing like an auld' quiz to put back in some fizz into it. I assume RMD has realised this and is busy coming up with the format and questions at this very moment and time.

I propose a showdown, TC v Patrique. Now there's a contest I'd log on to see.

You're too kind JS, far too kind.
Unfortunately, it is never likely to happen, as Patrique doesn't participate in quizzes, or even in tipping contests, for that matter. However, if he's allowed to submit his answers retrospectively, say even the day after the quiz, he might well decide to take part!
And never mind me, Clash is the real star of quizzes on here. Younger and faster, although can be vulnerable on anything pre-1990....

Re: Time for a new quiz
I recall a good Friday quiz excelently hosted by L2TR-though he was supported on the research - If L2TR is willing to re host if am willing to offer support on the research - but am unable to host said quiz (joys of being on-call)

A fair observation
In my limited experience the classic showdowns have been clash v TC with jim wexford being a worthy fringe player.
Patrique tends to hover on such events and prefers to nail his acts post judgement on an article that he may have half agreed with that may have appeared in the Guardian in this decade
