People better forgotten but not forgiven....
Great topic from Dan....He's on fire here, metaphorically and literally and quasi-pissed as well.....Dan's opener:
1. Johnny Mulvey ..".Refeered "the Conacht Final of 1958.
2. Garrett Fitzgerald..a Blueshirted baxtard....
3. That little fooker Boonoo...and his money....Like a rat at a threshing....BOOM...

Re: People better forgotten but not forgiven....
20 years ago as a student Omar worked summers in a donegal golf resort
Working residents bar shifts entitled Omar to on site staff accomodation
One summer Omar was required to share quarters with a trainee chef of dubious character.(blow in, townie, gypo type) The closing day of the season had omar and said chef exchange heated words.
Chef finished his shift packed up and sailed into sunset. When omar got to the ransacked room later that night his wallet and two weeks wages had also departed for good.
Proprieter reimbursed Omar and said without evidence sleeping dogs etc. etc.
Had not harked on this incident for about 18 years till i saw this thread and a quick google reveals offender is the self proclaimed head chef in a donegal hotel not unknown to Omar.
Not forgiven and no longer forgotten

The Dauber and myself have had some experience (documented here previously) in delicate matters not unlike this. Would you like us to become involved on a pro bono basis. The nights are long this time of year with nothing and a bit of divilment is always welcome.

Divilment sounds tame - A pint of stout was £1.60 at the time so a lot of interest has clocked up on the pay back

Re: People better forgotten but not forgiven....
JS was treated very harshly in his first few years of national school by a teacher who hadn't got on with more.. boisterous kin and judged that I would be the same. 3 years of unwarranted bullying followed and I promised myself she would be told of it at some stage. Last year after a decade of not laying eyes on her she cornered me in the local shop, big hello, hug and fawning about how proud she was of hearing that I'd done well for myself.
Couldn't bring myself to say anything to the oul bag..

In fairness to him, he did bring balance to the force eventually.
