Alan Brogan OUT, Ciaran Kilkenny IN
Looks like that's the change - Paddy Power have removed Alan from all 1st/last goalscorer, MOTM lists and replaced him with Ciaran Kilkenny.
Big blow to K-Mac - surely he should be in there before Kilkenny.

Re: Alan Brogan OUT, Ciaran Kilkenny IN
its a big ask of a young lad to come into an All Ireland semi final and produce the goods so this is a big risk by Gilroy, that is of course if it is indeed the young lad who starts.
A big blow to Dublin, must still be some question marks over Bernard Brogans fitness and his ability to complete 70 minutes at full tempo, could be Mayos day after all!!!!

Big ask for Kilkenny but he has buckets of talent and Gilroy wouldn't put him in if he didn't think he could handle it. I still think Dublin should win comfortably in the end.

How many of you are conversant with the "fulcrum" of the attack position.....
An ancient warrior may be selected at 12 or 15m, but you'll not find these fookers grabbing "Dirty Ball " around the 11 area...
An un-fit Alan Brogan doesn't deserve castigation, he has nothing to prove..

Indeed, didn't see that result coming. I mistakenly thought the Dubs would stumble thus far and then turn it on when required ala Kerry 2009. I did think Kilkenny did well though. 3 points from play in his first Senior game, and AISF, no mean feat.

ogara and mcmenamin added a bit of impetus to the dublin forward line the ball would stick where as the two brogans didnt look fit at all. putting and then taking alan off must have been the biggest risk/ mistake made all day. ogara as limited as he is at least could win a ball and mcmenamin looked dangerous.
the dublin charge fell due to a lack of scoring forwards and only for cluxton keeping the score board ticking over the fightback might never have occured

With hindsight most analysts are saying that bringing Alan Brogan on was the wrong call.
On the other hand if Gilroy had not brought Brogan on and still had lost every analyst would
ask what was the harm in risking him for 10 minutes - his season is over now anyway
