Cadbury U21 Football Championship
That time of the year again with the notoriously unpredictable U21 Championship.
So far the Dubs looking good with a demolishing of Laois, Kildare who were tipped to do well fell at the first hurdle to Offaly and a Heslin inspired Westmeath get past Carlow. Louth also through after the non event that was the Killkenny game.
In Munster Tipp's revival at underage will surely challenge Cork and Kerry.
Galway are bound to be strong in Connacht with the same excellent midfield as last year.
Ulster is anybody's guess with Armagh and Tyrone among the favourites with lots of All Ireland winning Minors on both sides. Cavan will be looking to build on being the form team at underage in Ulster but Armagh will provide a tough test in Breffni in 2 weeks time.

Tyrone easy winners in the end, away to Fermanagh. 1-14 to 1-3. Good start, and a side that includes a lot of the 2010 AI winning minor side.

1.Conor Gilsenan
2. James Morris 3. Killian Brady 4. Jason Mc Loughlin
5.Darragh Sexton 6.Conor Moynagh 7.Michael Brady
8. Packie Leddy 9. Killian Clarke
10.Joe Dillon 11.Barry Reilly 12. Fergal Flanagan
13.Paul O Connor 14.Kevin Tierney 15. Jack Brady
Cavan team for tonight. 6 players who featured in last year's final. 3 who played in the Minor Ulster Final. Armagh will surely try to nullify Jack as the main threat. Strange choices at midfield where the loss of Turloc Mooney to a cruciate injury is a big blow. I think we would have the better of anyone else in Ulster at the moment bar Tyrone and Armagh. Armagh are very strong with 6 senior panelists on board and Cavan will find it hard to replicate last year's desire which got them over the line.
Good luck to the lads. H'on Cavan.

Donegal completely outclassed by a superior Tyrone outfit. Bossed midfield and built from there.
Good luck to them.

Cavan lost Barry Reilly early on, Kevin Tierney really stepped up must have scored 5 points. Great win, keep it going. Anyone know who meets whom now?

Congratulations on the win JS. Continuing the form from last year. Suprised with Armagh with the potential in the forwards, expected them to score more than 1-5.

Tyrone play Down on 4th March so that leaves Cavan and Derry

Re: Cadbury U21 Football Championship
Good win for Tyrone, but still little faith in our manager. Losing Ronan O'Neill will be a very difficult hurdle to overcome as we go further, but a good win tonight against a physically big Donegal side, who had a very dangerous full forward line.

Re: Cadbury U21 Football Championship
Thanks GF. Armagh had a man sent off. Killian the Gunner was outstanding at fullback I hear and Armagh had kicked 5 wides when Cavan were 6-1 up. There's good belief in the Cavan underage sides now, they've also been working as hard as the seniors. Hopefully Barry Reilly's injury isn't serious.

Heard Armagh suffered an injury in the forwards, who is also playing in the senior team. Looks like another Armagh senior player isnt playing, would not be suprised if we had the entire 1st/2nd choice panel injured come the end of NFL.

Derry hammered Monaghan tonight, another big test in store for us in the next round. Been a good while since we met them at underage. 3 West Cavan men finished on the field too, always good to see.

Dubs followed up 2-21 to 0-4 win over Laois with a 4-15 to 1-09 victory over Westmeath last night. Louth await in the Leinster final.
Last year's dual minor star Ciaran Kilkenny scored 1-06 in a MotM performance with Paul Hudson adding 1-04.

Genuine question: Are the Dubs that good, or is Leinster that weak?

It has been agreed here before ad nauseum, that despite Dublin's lucky annexation of Sam 2011, Leinster remains the weakest province.
