Kilkenny a bit slow to settle. Their forwards warmed up considerably in the 2nd. half....

Good start for the Dubs beating the Leinster Champions in their own backyard. Kilkenny conceding 6-35 is a bit of a joke and I can't see how it helps the lads in the black and amber shirts. Their own senior hurlers wouldn't score that against Louth!

Wexford Dublin U21 game was an absolute cracker, draw possibly fair result. Dudlin lead at one stage 1-07 to 1-02 at half time with 10 mins to go it went 1-08 each 5 mins to go it was 1-10 to 1-09 and Wexford missed two very scorable frees.
Talking point was the lack of a penalty award to Wexford at the end of the game, it would of put them one point ahead if converted at the time.
Also the player (ryan I think full forward -good player as well) who passed to dublin forward fouled for the penalty picked the ball straight of the deck in the wexford small square. Nearly sure only the keeper can do that.
All in all best game of football I have seen in years the pace shown by the players was electric and the ref had a good game. My nit picking of a few incidents should not take away from his performance.
That was a good Wex team and we did fancy them to repeat last years heroics but lets see if the dubs can do it.
Kildare possibly the favs for leinster.

Very impressive scoreline. Dublin are obviously strong again at underage, but Laois will be hugely disappointed to be trounced in such a fashion.

What has happened to Laois' highly regarded underage programme? I know a lot of their minor success didn't translate to U21 or senior, but results like that are still shocking.

Was expecting Armagh to take a hammering but not by 16 points. Do think the team will strengthen quite a bit when Crossmaglen are back, think we are on our 3rd choice goalkeeper. It was more of a training session for Dublin rather than a competitive game. Not completely disheartened, there are quite a few players yet to come back for Armagh and it looks like Stevie McDonnell is hanging up his boots.
