Congratulations Lougheile & Coolderry
Great achievement by both clubs to reach the AI Finals this year, dont know much about coolderry but Lougheile Shamrocks neighbours of Dunloy have been knocking on the door for sometime and include a management team which has Jim Nelson Antrim manager 1989.
Cant leave this thread without a mention of Liam Watson, i always remember Pat on the forum calling him one of the best in Ireland and his personal tally of 0-16 in the semi the other day really sums up what a talent this fella can be.
Would love to see the shamrocks win the title as it would be a great boost to the whole of Antrim hurling, im looking forward to Paddys day for the first time in a while.

Final weekend this saturday, i would love to be part of a club involved in a senior club final, lougheil a small wee village in north antrim playing in front of 40k.
Hope they win as for Antrim and Ulster hurling it would be a sign of great progress, at the same time coolderry are new to the scene and a victory for them would be massive to offaly, shaping up to be a good final role on paddies day!

The attendance won't be anywhere near 40K. They got just over 30k back in 2009 when Kilmacud V Crossmaglen and De La Salle and Portumna met. There has only been around 20 to 25k at the last two finals as well and it will be around the same this year

Itll be between 30/40k! Two Ulster support will be big and any time an ulster team has been in the hurling the support has been large.

Re: Congratulations Lougheile & Coolderry
On occasions like this you cannot but remember Patrique R.I.P.
His much trumped card, Winker Watson, delivered what is surely the greatest ever performance in the history of the club championships when it mattered most. An awesome performance and a great result for the game.
Loughgeil were noticeably a more robust outfit. They were in great physical shape, well able to break tackles and while much of their performance was adrenalised, it was a tremendous training performance.

Very true on Pat.
Loughgeil seemed more comfortable yesterday and were able to open the coolderry defence when they wanted at times, Winker was unreal, a really class touch, if only he had stayed off the drink years ago and concentrated like he is now, a real star.
Felt sorry for coolderry too, as they had good hurlers and 17 points isnt a bad return.

Dear Jesus!! Your level of paranoia/insularisation/poor-mouthedness knows no bounds, does it
The guy was tremendous, granted by all, and you spring this ball...
A very poor, tactless observation I must say...

Boxty unnerved here - he looks at the empty half dozen bottles on the sink and the Jemmy bottle at his feet as he feverishly defends Winker's libatonary period. Eyes misting as he bangs keys hard thinking how a life of heroism in Pairc Mac Diarmada escaped him for similar reasons ... as it has many others (incl here)

Boxty is far from un-nerved here Para. Boxty may well be the only one on this forum to have played senior championship in three provinces, but Boxty finds the comment of NSG quite demeaning to Watson.....
On the highlighted point, Boxty was a full participant in Pairc Sean's opening day....Twas' my first day to "contest" with Earley...

It was not demeaning at all you fool, it was reference to his interview in local press last week, where he claimed his life style and attitude had let him down in the past!

Not to mention that i know the fella personally and his girlfriend.
Your one of these, when i was a player characters online, difference being, most players who claim to have done what you have, wouldnt be sitting behind this on sunny evenings and sunday afternoons over the summer theyd be out with a team!
Your ignorance is what i would say knows no bounds, your inability or lack of intelligence to query something you dont like before attacking it expose's your foolishness.
26k puke, you called it well. The ulster contingent didnt seem to follow this year as they did dunloy in previous.

Could someone add this to the ever growing lists of predictions i have made that have came to pass. Bluffers like L2TR and Boxty should take note.
