Good luck to Maedbh....
Currently undergoing surgery in Kings Hospital London...
From a call from Kings at 10pm last night to arrival there just after 2am... Joe was on with Plank on radio this morning and was effusive in his praise of the services.
All the best Maedbh...

Just googleed it, haven't heard anything about this. She is having a liver transplant after missing out on one during the summer.

She needs a liver transplant as a matter of urgency. A suitable liver became available in July on a Saturday evening at 7pm.
Because of a series of cock-ups, chain of connection failures etc., she was left distraught at Sligo airport at 11.30 and stood down.
Her father Joe is a Garda here and he spoke well about it on the radio on the Monday. Boxty feels that were he in his shoes, he would have been less controlled and much more angry..
Anyway, the call came again last night around 7 and they were in Kings just after 2am. Its' taking a long time but hopes are high...
It being the nature of rural people, the match has taken a back stage and the focus is now on word from London..
are likely for the weekend...

A happy ending to this would indeed be heart warming - and might parly surpress the anger at the original £"$% up which was an example of when all thats Fooked in this country leads to heartache for joe Citizen despite having 900 people at a paygrade of €100k+ in HSE who should have had this in hand
