The original "Decades of Glory" and "Football Immortals" by Raymond Smyth were real books, as autobiographies usually leave me cold, with exception given to Dermot Early's.

There is one brilliant book by one of the Barrett's I think it was, all about the healing nature the GAA had in Kerry football after the civil war with Barrett's father and Con Brosnan and the Walshes all coming together for the glory of the county.
