Re: The Premier League
Chelsea played off the field today allowing the pack to keep in touch. Two outstanding Individual goals this weekend, one by Elmander and one by Onouha..
United were brutal, completely outplayed. The Champions spirit is there but they need central midfielders to control the game for them.. And they need Rooney back and in form, Hernandez's form may have just been a flash in the pan and Berbatov is rapidly losing the confidence he had in the first few games.
The drop in standard in the PL has made for an interesting year with no guaranteed results. Although I'd like to see Tottenham and Liverpool doing better and make the top 4 more interesting.

Yes it takes a lot of effort to go to your home ground, the San Siro, and snatch an away win ....

AFAIK neither of the Milan teams play in the English premiership. A new topic for Italian football should do the trick I reckon.

Whilst you are at it shouldn't we have a special section for National Hunt given that the last two weekends has seen the start of the serious action

Re: The Premier League
Arsenal probably didn't derserve to lose the game they played very well but fair play to Tottenham.. Bale came good in the second half and Arsenal just took turns in fouling him every time he got the ball..
United being played off the pitch by Wigan sure to lose this game...

To be fair in my neck of the woods "half" is a legitimate word - though rather than being 50% of one it relevance is that it refers to a sip from the top shelf
"I had a scoop of pints and a lock of halfs"

Or in Fenaghspeak..."I had a fair scatter of pints and a good lock of halfs".....Recounted memorably after a wedding by a local denizen with the phrase....
"I went out for a smoke, got sick into a fookin' plant, took a stagger and fell, tore the knee outa' my good suit, skinned my hand, hit my head, but a fookin' good oul' day in all fairness"
When all this economic turbulence dies down (circa 2020) these characters, their wit, wisdom and irreverence will be gone from us and more is the pity...

We have "half ones" in this end of the county. ie: Take your pints the half ones will come..
