A worrying statistic
There seems to be a growing trend amongst other gaa board posters to attempt to start their own message boards. We all know what happened the last time somebody tried a similar stunt. And if you don't I'm sure Liamo will fill you in on the details. All I'll say is where are you now TerenceTrentDerby? Probably still posting on his own little message board. I hope this board dosen't meet with the same fate but why are so many always so fond of making this breakaway,do you think?

Re: A worrying statistic
This forum is not intended to take any posters away from their website. Everyone is entitled to post where ever they like. The reason for this forum is so that people can still take part in the tipster competition. Whats different about this website is that you can have your say without it being deleted by moderators as longs as it is not too controversial.
I would also like to point out that if there is any reference to the other website then it will be edited - This has to be edited to protect people from being banned from other GAA forums.

why can't we all the messageboards just get along in peace and harmony? It's quite sad really...

Re: A worrying statistic
The other message board lasted all of about two days. They never invited me to join but it wasn't a very professional outfit if I remember rightly. Don't know what became of the original upstarter but I don't think I've heard from him since. It must be two years ago since that rising?

There was a rascal called Terence Trent Darby who once dreamed of a GAA forum where all posters would be equal, where posts would be updated in real time and where reasonable opinion would be allowed! No one is quite sure what happened to that dreamer. But sometimes late at night when browsing GAA forums such as this one, you can often hear a faint whisper .... If you let me stay ... Sign your name ...

Re: A worrying statistic
Hey whats with all the questions here? Is it important? Does it matter? Does anyone care? Hey whats with all the questions just there again!
Other boards are irrelevant - this one is irreverent. This is a forum for the people, by the people and you will not be ostracised, ignored or treated like something on the end of your shoe for trying to be helpful nor will your posts end up in Adminabin for no good reason! Not that such things happen on other sites!
I reckon the only thing that will get you in trouble here is if you personally insult or slander someone - not on
Just enjoy the banter - give your opinion - and lets forget other sites! This is yours!
The future is bright - the future is green with black text - the future is gaatipster!

Good man Istra - I had forgotten!
It'd wanna be a good ship to pull into the harbour in Leitrim though - wha'!
The marina in Leitrim village is an option though and a few pints in Vera Donnellan's and a trip up to Beirne's in Battlebridge for more!
Ah a good evening!
