Mayo V Galway
This is the team to play:
Mayo (SF v Galway): D Clarke; L O'Malley, G Cafferkey, K Conroy; P Gardiner, T Cunniffe, A Moran; P Harte, R McGarrity; M Ronaldson, T Mortimer, A Dillon; A O'Malley, A O'Shea, M Sweeney.
Conor Mortimer left out, bit of a surprise. He's probably injured or they'll bring him in later on.

having been talking to a few sources close to the team at home i beleive that Mortimer aint injured, he's just been dropped and its about time too i say. great to see O'Shea getting his chance at full-forward from the start

yeah, i'd say he's just dropped too. O'Mahony did this to conor mortimer before-he wasnt playing well so he didnt put him on the starting team. Mortimer soon improved his play and was a regular again-i'd say this is the same tactic o mahony is using again.

I'd say Mortimers goose is cooked. Isn't this thread in the wrong place?

I didnt go to see it, because i was at another match, but from what I here, Mayo played a blistering performance in the second half. Mayo always seem to play not so good in the first half, and then come out a completely different team in the second half. I think johnno's tactics were good today. Leaving conor Mortimer off the starting line-up will give him the wake up call he needs, whilst helping mayo's cause by having a better player in there. Aidan O Shea with the goal-what a promising player for mayo in the years ahead!!! Ronan McGarrity got booked twice and remained on the field-but sure, what can ya do!!! Hopefully Mayo have done enough to secure division 1 status for next year. I cant wait to see them in the championship...........

Some turnaround in this game, Meehan's penalty miss crucial. This leaves the door open for Derry to get to the final again, but I think Galway may beat Kerry as I'd say they'll rest a few players ahead of the final.
