Cork will win the all Ireland
It will be wasted on the fans though they dont deserve it. I know plenty of Cork people who didnt even know what day and time the quarter final was on. I had to tell one Cork man they were in a quarter final. Surely there are more deserving hard pressed fans out there who deserve an Ireland like us?
Dublin had a good win over Tyrone, however i think that Tyrone through it away if they had the radar in tune i think they would of quite easy with a few points to spare. There wides especially in the 60-65 minute mark were atrocious. The hype will descend on Dublin now with the evening herald leading the charge. With that in mind i think Cork will win the semi and will have too much for either Kildare or Down.

Cork will be favourites now all right with the Dubs next I presume?
I wouldn't agree that Cork don't deserve it. In fact I think that Cork is rightly lauded as the sporting capital of the country. Football, hurling, athletics, soccer, basketball .... and competitive in all of them. Football is definitely viewed by the majority of Cork people as the poor relation to hurling but that doesn't mean that the many great footabll people in Cork don't deserve their day in the sun.

Apart from Kerry, who was the last team to knock Cork out of the championship? You need to go back to 2004.
So I would say Cork "deserve" it although I do agree with Diarmuid O'Sullivan when he said no team deserved an all Ireland, you had to go and win it.

Re: Cork will win the all Ireland
I am not sure if Cork will win the All Ireland. They hammered Cavan, beat Wexford and struggled past a Limerick team who ran out of steam after a 3 week break and Roscommon - no disrespect to any of those teams but they are division 3 and 4 teams.
They played one so-called big team this year - Kerry - and they couldn't beat them.
The pressure is really on Cork now because at the start of the year they were considered 1 of the big 3 and the other 2 have gone by the wayside. They will probably be favourites on the basis that they have contested last years final and won Division 1 this year but they are by no means guaranteed to win it.

Re: Cork will win the all Ireland
i wouldnt be too sure they will - i would rank them behind Dublin and Kildare now - the loss of Canty is massive.
Kildare would be my favourites based on yesterdays performance - i admit i didnt rate them too highly but the took several setbacks on the chin yesterday and didnt panic.

I would rate the teams based on Performance
Kildare, Down, Dublin, Cork.
Kildare, Down, Dublin, Cork.

Limerick, the ONLY team to put it up to Kerry and Cork in the last few years, apart from Tyrone in 2008, and everyone just writes them off?
They were also the only team until yesterday to stop Meath making the semis, when they hammered them in 2008.I think Meath tonked Tyrone to make the semi the year before.
so please, you could make a strong case that in the last few years Limerick have been in the top 3, certainly 4, in Ireland.
