Believe it r not it was correct at the time. As there was the falling out in Ballygawley, Canavan was not registered with any club therefore was not able to field for Tyrone. Some bright spark then decided to register him with a hurling club, thus he registered for Killyclogher that year.
i know it was accurate at the time ORH sure wasnt i forever giving him a roasting at training!!!!!
You would do well to heed your own signature qoute
we are talking hurling here ORH - remember he was only registered to play hurling (Cappagh Gaels could be doing with him now!!!!)- we couldnt afford the fee to get him to play football!!!!!!
And the bright spark you referred to earlier was Brendan Harkin
Yes indeed it was Bocerty, I had to endure 7 years of the man at Omagh CBS Brendy was sound all the same even though his monotone voice made A-level politics resemble some form of war torturing device
Welcome again ORH , As we don't have a midfielder in the mould of a Kevin McGourty it is great to have yet another retreating half forward to swarm around Pat the pessimist. We all love him really but like most union reps doesn't perform all that great when put under pressure.
And on that note, well done to Antrim on winning yet another Ulster title albeit in the game we don't care for much in these parts and occasionally use as a convenient registrar for clubs experiencing in-house difficulties

the big question is Loyal how do you think the game will pan out on Saturday - let us have the experts opinion!!!
And as for being the only two worth listening to i would change that to 1 - Samin - he has given a few tips on here that have generated a few pounds for the rest of us as far as i can remember you have yet to predict one winner when it comes to horses, a sport you clearly think you are an expert on!!!!!!
Samin was also leading the tipster competition until a few technical hitches thwarted his progress!!!!!!
pity you wouldnt listen to me about 2003, only messing. 2009 national league tipster champion, the real 2010 championship tipster champion. Not bad from four competitions. For anyone who wants to listen, Tyrone, kerry, cork and meath will win this weekend with tyrone to go all the way this year.
good man samin i have been saying it from january this team dont need a natioanl league. there wouldnt be too many turn up to omagh court house for the national league trophy.
also good to see you back postin!!!!

Well the fact of the matter is that I generally have to tone down the intellect level to allow your good self to participate. Just because we don't all bum and blow about our wonderful education doesn't mean we don't have one!!
As far as I am aware, also the youngest MacRory player until quite recently.

Toman won the McRory and Hogan when he was 14.
He then won again with us 4 years later.
All of my competition with Omagh was in the inter CBS sports in the 5,000 metres and such.

certainly a young age to be playing macrory cup. There was a guy in my school (st pats Armagh) called Barry Gordon (i'm sure you probably played against him at some stage judging by your age). I'm pretty sure he played when he was 13, not certain of this though, may have been 14. He has just turned 31, his first year on the panel was when Maghera beat us in the final in the Athletic grounds Armagh. Not sure of the year, possibly 93?

Re: Are Dublin set for 3 In A Row???
I'm pretty sure it was 1994 Samin. Collie Holmes would have been on that Armagh side at CHB. I was at that game, and was disappointed for Armagh. But, then again, Maghera beat everyone in those days.

I can see how you might ask, but the spare tyre(s) only landed after 1997. More to the point unlike big Neily I never shipped four goals in a game

Was on the panel Mugsy but got injured before Armagh game and missed the rest of the campaign. Did receive a medal funnily enough but hardly could be considered winning it . Couldn't even tell you where it is, even though I have every other medal I won.

you could be right, Oisin McConville was on it too. Barry Gordon would have been 14 if that was the case

I still would have had me in goal that day, and "Roggey" at corner back on what ever you called the Tipp corner forward, who hit the frees...........
